Our sales women was wonderful to work with! Upon delivery, things changed. The couch was set down and the delivery guys went out to get the cushions I moved the couch and looked down to find scratches (this floor is brand new) I pointed it out to the delivery guys and said why would the furniture leave a scratch? He said “oh I think I noticed there was a nail sticking out.” He flipped the couch over to find that sure enough the FURNITURE GLIDE in fact was improperly installed and the nail was sticking out of it. He also fixed a second one with the same issue. The manager, Carrie, said it’s my fault since I moved my couch and I should have lifted it. What are the “furniture glides” for? Why would you bring a couch into a home knowingly with a defect that WILL cause damage? Those glides are less than $1. Replacing the middle of my newly installed flooring, several hundred. Take some accountability for not resolving flaws with the furniture before delivering. Oh did, I mention another one of the feet rotates, due to not being installed properly? They asked us to send pictures and then acted like we were ridiculous for trying to determine a way to resolve. Email response was unprofessional and follow up phone call was NOT good customer service. Both we initiated after waiting days for a reply to their request for photos. We have purchased from Lansing furniture many times before- clearly they aren’t interested in...
Read moreMy husband and I purchased a $4000 sectional and were convinced to also purchase the extended warranty as we were told that should anything happen to our purchase that it will be fixed or the sectional would be replaced. The warranty was expensive but we thought it was worth it because of the protection it provided on our purchase. The padding on the foot rests has been wearing down and it has shifted so the wood is now what is prominent. I called and was told I needed to locate the serial number and model of my couch but not given any idea where it was so basically, disassemble the sectional to try to locate the information. I was told they don’t keep records of what we purchased nor the warranty we were sold and that it’s up to us to figure it out. The representative was rude and short with me. He was of zero help and I felt dismissed. I was absolutely floored by the exchange. We have purchased many items from Lansing but will not be purchasing from them again and have steered friends and family away from buying from them. Hugely disappointed.
Update: And 5 months later… I still don’t have resolution to the problem. No one has reached out in any way or responded to my review. Unprofessional. Now, I will be contacting the BBB as they did NOT honor the warranty...
Read moreI had a very frustrating experience after spending $3,500 on mattresses at your store.
On delivery day, I kindly asked the delivery team if they could help move our old mattress and box spring to the garage. My husband was at work, and I was home alone with our 5- and 6-year-old children. Instead of assisting, they asked if I would be tipping them, stating that moving furniture wasn’t part of their job.
I called the store and spoke with Chris, who argued with me about whether that kind of help should be expected. After some back and forth, he agreed to come assist since we live just a few miles from the store. Unfortunately, by the time anyone arrived, I had already moved the mattress and box spring myself, to the best of my ability.
To make matters worse, the delivery team arrived 45 minutes earlier than scheduled without notice and entered my home without removing their shoes.
This experience has left me beyond frustrated. For the amount I spent, I expected professionalism, courtesy, and at the very least, clear communication. I will be taking my future...
