I brought my truck to Warrens around a year ago because my check engine light and tire pressure sensor light were on. Also i had about 120,000 miles on it and wanted any preventative maintenance done to keep it moving. I was told that they couldn't handle the problems which were causing the lights to be on and would have to take it to a dealership. Turns out it was a stuck coolant valve and a broken wire on the pressure sensor. I feel they could have ordered and installed these parts. On the maintenance they changed all fluids and spark plugs. When I got the truck back it wouldn't shift right into the higher gears and would sometimes get stuck in those gears. I brought it back to them and they kept it overnight to try and sort out the problem. I got it back and it pretty much did the same thing and I drove it working around the issue since it only happened in if I punched it on the interstate to pass someone which i don't do often. I finally bought a code reader to see what it said and found out it was having a gear error in 6th. Looked into how to fix this and the easy fix was low transmission fluid. This isn't something you can do in your driveway like an oil change so I took it to the dealership and found out it was 3 quarts low at the cost of $300. They were very nice but I won't be taking any vehicle...
Read moreHis response says it all. I’ll tell you why I initially left a word-less review. It was a bookmark to make sure I came back to post on the right business. That’s how sore of an impression you left.
Your guy (you?) on the phone couldn’t have sounded less happy about a potential new customer. Drawn out sighs and asking for a quote was like I was giving him a tetanus shot. Said he was out for the upcoming long weekend. I said okay that’s fine, can I just get a quote, and was told to call back after the weekend. I asked if I could call back Tuesday. He sighed again and said “maybe, I dunno, you can try calling but I can’t promise anything”. Just for a quote. Of course I’m thinking, this guy is a clown and doesn’t want to work. And it’s exactly the same tone that I got in this reply.
That’s not how you do it, my guy.
I’ll go somewhere that wants my business. I’d highly suggest you take your car to an adult.
Sincerely,
A...
Read moreThey Don't Stand Behind Their Work. Initially I was fairly happy with their work. However, one time they put a timing belt on incorrectly and the engine sounded awful -- pinged like a tambourine. "Must be bad gas" they said. Strange, it ran just fine on that same gas when I brought it into the shop! Brought the car back in several more times and they would "fix" the problem, but it ran as poorly as when I brought it in. Finally told them to fix it or I would take the car to another mechanic and give Warran Auto the bill. They finally did fix it but never admitted that they had messed up. Don't like being lied to and I don't like a business that lacks integrity. Update: my next door neighbor, an elderly lady, took her SUV to Warran Automotive for repair. They provided her with a two page estimate for over $2000. She then went to another mechanic and got the car repaired for...
