Filed a BBB complaint against company (below) and company didn't respond. Just know they will screw you over!!!
We purchased a used dryer from Chillicothe Discounters on Sat, Feb 10th. My husband and a friend went to pick it up, and their workers loaded it into the truck. The dryer is a Samsung Flexdry with a glass top delicates dryer. Upon loading the dryer into our truck, they did not secure the top, nor did they turn it out so the wind wouldn't get under the lid. Driving up the interstate, the wind flipped it up and shattered it. We did notify them, and they said it wasn't their problem. I wasn't overly upset about it because I did not intend to use it. However, our problems got worse from there. I noticed an odd smell, so I cleaned the dryer out with vinegar. Their store smelled musty, so I figured that may be the problem. At this point, the dryer was outside and hadn't been moved inside yet. Sunday morning, we moved it inside, and that's when I realized the "smell" was cigarettes. I tried again to wash the drum out w vinegar and soaked old towels in vinegar and dried them. Within mins, I could smell cigarette smoke in the house. My husband called the store Monday and talked w an employee who said the owner wasn't in that day, but he was a stand-up guy and would make this right. Well, when my husband called on Tuesday and talked to the owner... he planned to be a stand-up guy until he realized that this was the dryer that the lid had been broken on. He did offer to steam clean the dryer, which my husband declined because I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke, and he knew it wouldn't be enough. However, the owner told us he will only take the dryer back if we pay to fix the lid to begin with. My husband proceeded to tell them that they loaded it incorrectly and did not secure the lid, and that is why it broke. The owner was not willing to budge. He said our receipt says we are not responsible for damage during delivery. Well, I didn't get that receipt until after I paid them cash for the dryer (which at that point made it non refundable). I was not aware of that policy, and your company didn't deliver it. You loaded it incorrectly into a truck and did not secure a glass lid, and it broke, and you sold me a dryer that smelled like cigarettes! All I asked was for my $300 to be refunded and for them to pick up the dryer so we didn't have to borrow our friends pickup truck again. They said they would not be willing to do either. If we paid for the lid to be fixed then we could have store credit for whatever was left over. I'm sorry but...
   Read moreI bought a washer and dryer from them and first off when I bought it I took them home too set up and my dryer wouldn't plug in so I asked them if they had a different cord and come too find out it was a stove cord and I asked them if they do inspections on the washer and dryers before selling and they assured me they do (clearly they don't) so about 2 weeks of having them my dryer messed up so I took it in and apparently the whole back of it was fried smh and they didn't act like they cared at all so instead of getting me a new dryer they gave me money back and acted like they didn't care of the fact I just bought them and that it could've burnt my house down with two children and I am out of a dryer 🙃 I don't recommend...
   Read moreI very rarely leave reviews but I believe this place needs deserves one. We have bought a new home and bought all of our Appliance through Chillicothe Discounters. The appliances that we purchased was a stackable washer and dryer refrigerator and stove. We have the dryer 2 days and it wasn't heating up the clothes they came up that same day I called and figure it out it was my electrical box and not the appliance but for them to be out the same day that I have an issue is amazing not very many places will put you of head of other needs.
