This was a very nice campground. It was small and quiet. The roads were freshly paved and the camp sites were well maintained. The shower houses were new, clean, had hot water, and flushing toilets. There are also outhouses spread out through the campground, also well kept. The little store is cute and well stocked with whatever you could need during your stay. The beach was small but clean. The building at the beach had showers/restrooms with flushing toilets, outdated but functional. There were also water dumping stations and dumpsters for trash at the back and front of the campground. There is a dumping station for larger RVs and campers, we didn't use them as we have a pop up but they seemed well maintained and functioning. There were two playgrounds with well kept equipment and the campground is bicycle friendly. It was a beautiful place to camp and relax, no cellphone service and there is a payphone by the store if needed. Upon checkout it was nice to see volunteers and/or workers walking around cleaning up. We will definitely...
Read moreYou couldn't pay me to camp here. We drove several hours to scout out this place for a gravel ride in the area. Wanted to see the actual camping area layout in order to find a quiet spot. Got out of the car to look at one and we were immediately harassed by, we'll just call it a mob, of more than thirty e-bikes and scooters, honking their tiny obnoxious horns as they road around and all over the campground, the mowed grass, the foot paths including over the footbridge to the pond. They then proceeded to ride in the road and stop to hang out in the intersection in front of the office. They blocked traffic on the road. Kids paying no attention. Riding right into the path of cars. The allowance of these things in the Parks is out of control. The last time I ever stayed at Caesers Creek a few months ago we complained about kids racing unregulated e-bikes around the camp. We were told it would be looked into. Thirty minutes later a car took...
Read moreThe lodge is delightful, I love the walls. the tables are not as cool as they used to be and the upstairs used to have a cozy living room area that i miss. The "preferred" cabins are very ugly and depressing. like a hotel room instead of a cabin. all the fireplaces are fake, and the beds are pretty uncomfortable. also there was a bedbug but they let us switch to a new cabin. the trails and the creek and the beach are lovely. I was sad that the showers on the island were broken and i hope they get fixed eventually, because they were cool. the little store has good ice cream. all the workers were very nice. the woods are very pretty, but i wanted to be in them? like i had to walk on way too much concrete and grass to find a way in. i want nature that is why we were there. anyway, it was really fun and I'm going again...
