Ritch's Alley — Local services in Waycross

We go here a lot. Usually every family birthday. I always message them on Facebook a week or 2 in advance, but no one gets back to me until right before we plan to be there if at all. We DID really like the place, but business owners in Waycross don't understand how to run a business well. This place closed to go on a family vacation and didn't even attempt to change their hours, Facebook profile, or anything to reflect this at least 2 weeks in advance. There's a very old post from May 3rd stating they will be closed on certain dates, but you have to scroll way down to find this. Most people don't think they need to scroll through a business's page to see if they are going to be unexpectedly closed. In addition, we found out they were closed by seeing a handwritten note on the door when we showed up for a birthday party. That prompted me to go to the Facebook page and there it was. For the last 2 days, they posted they would be closed for vacation. Who checks to see if a business is going to open daily? I have no desire to waste my money or time, or the the expectations of a 10 year old girl, on bad business owners in Waycross. This is so common here it's sickening. Went here today for my son’s birthday party and was pleasantly surprised at what an awesome place this was! They took care of everything for the party and all we had to do was literally show up. Food was good, atmosphere was great, and staff was friendly and helpful. Because I drove a long distance to get there, we were actually about 30 minutes late from the time we had booked the party for, but I text the owner and he was so cool about it; it was no problem that we were running late and they accommodated our later arrival time with ease. I’d recommend this place to anyone - it’s a great establishment for birthday parties, kids to hang out, family night, or just some good fun among friends.
