Patterson Auto Wrecking — Local services in Wayne Township

I ordered a engine for a vehicle over three weeks ago. I was quoted 3 weeks for my engine to be pulled, cleaned and ready to go on a truck. Well I called Monday which was 2 weeks and 5 days to check on the progress. They informed me there was 25 more vehicles in front of me, And they do 8 a day. They also said it will be done by the end of the week and shipped out beginning of the week. Well I gave it til today which is Friday, and called to check on the progress. They first started off not being able to find my order and the salesman was going to give me a call back. Well 2 hours go by and I hear nothing from the salesman. So I give them a call back and he makes up some excuse, saying his computer crashed... well I talk to him a bit more and find out there is 17 orders in front of me. In 4 days he has told me he has gotten 8 engines out of the way. It sounds since they are doing 8 a day the would be able to accomplish the task they promised me earlier this week. Now I am told they should be able to have my engine out of the vehicle by the end of Wednesday of next week,and to me by beginning of the following week. This is one of the only engines I have found, for this particular year or I would have canceled my order. I will update my review once I get the engine if I can't find another one. Horrible place to buy used parts. We bought an engine wiring harness for a dodge durango and asked how much warranty the part had before even purchasing it and the salesman said 90 day warranty so we bought it. We received the part and realized that it did not contain a plug we needed so we called and the rudest and ignorant lady picked up the phone with the worst customer service, we mentioned to her that the part had not been installed and we did not needed it, keep in mind the part was $310 and she said "part is as is because its electrical" stupidest thing ever if you guys arent gonna stick to the warranty and lie to customers why even tell them theres warranty. We made sure to ask before purchase and got lied to this people only want your money but when you wanna return they come up with the stupidest excuse. We really didnt wanna have to write this review but we thought anybody thats trying to buy used parts should be prevented from a horrible experience we lost $310 on a part that was never even taken out of the box never installed not even needed and couldve easily been returned and refunded i hope this review gets known to a manager or owner and set that...

I was about 1/2 way through opening this crate before I realized it was picture worthy. I run the parts department at an independent euro specialty shop and we had a BMW customer that wanted his dashboard replaced. Of course the dash is on backorder with no ETA, could be a few weeks... could be years, maybe never. I was asked to find a used dash (very specific color) which I'm usually hesitant to do because getting damaged during removal or in shipping is common. I have to say in 25 years of parts experience I've never seen a used part packed so well. If you need something fragile order with confidence from Patterson, they'll go out of their way to make sure it arrives undamaged. The invoice was as expected no hidden fees which a lot of salvage yards are doing now. I will 100% being adding Patterson high up on my list of used...
