If you're reading this you should just go here and buy your food. I promise you won't be disappointed. If you need further convincing, keep reading and I'll do my best to help you.
In a world where we live disconnected from our food chain, Schaefer's is an oppurtunity to change. When you step into grocery store an overwhelming majority of the food you see is stuck with the not so noticeable "manufactured/grown elsewhere in a far far away place." When you walk into the farm market or sign up for the CSA (if you don't know what that is it's worth a google or asking at the Market I promise)when you walk inside you are stepping across a beautiful proud invisible line that says "home grown and made in the USA" and even better it's your OWN LOCAL farmer. Be a patriot and eat local. It supports a family, it supports our economy, and it brings a new level of food to you and your table. I'm not talking lettuce that gives you a song and a dance when you put it in your salad bowl. I'm telling you that after a few meals, weeks, or months you'll notice a difference in that burger at your neighbors barbecue, the sad look of the tomatoes at Subway; or relish in the mouthwatering splendor you get to share with your friends and family who haven't truly tasted this kind of bliss in your diet. You can find anything you're looking for just remember it may not be in season yet. You're not going to automatically have tomatoes and broccoli fresh picked in January. Start with something simple and you know you'll go home and use. Eat seasonly, eat with friends or family, and eat better. Who is...
Read moreWe discovered Schaefer's Family Farm last year during Feb/March 2024. We wish we had found them sooner. After looking over the website I learned about the CSA (Community Support Agriculture) Program they offer. This starts in Mid May ish and ends middle of October ish - mother nature (weather) permitting. The CSA is a program that offers a weekly bag of homegrown vegetables and fruits. We received many different vegetables such as tomato's corn, cabbage, lettuce, peppers, to name a few and, strawberries, blackberries, watermelon, and other melons. Last year was our first year doing a CSA let alone even knowing it existed. After speaking with the family. We chose to sign up. The are meticulous about the soil, and proper care of the crop sites, and that is so important for growing clean, healthy and good crops. If you are looking for a cleaner way to feed your family. I highly recommend Schaefers. Not to mention, the friendly, very knowledgable staff. ooo Plus the beautiful selection of seasonal flowers, other foods, etc in store. Stop by, you won't regret you did! We Love and support our local hard...
