Next Level HiFi — Local services in Wayne

Over the past ~12 months, I've placed multiple orders with Next Level HiFi within the Audio Group Denmark product range including an entire flagship Aavik/Borresen/Ansuz system, and I can tell you that as a consumer, this is the dealer where you should take your business. Here's why:

Unparalleled customer service. Tyler, Joshua, and Josie are extremely responsive (even on weekends and evenings). Their communication is fantastic and always professional. They're good, hard working people that deserve the success that they've been experiencing as a dealer. All inclusive product range. If you're into Audio Group Denmark products, Next Level HiFi is your one stop shop for everything from cables, streamer, dac, amp, speakers, stands, footers, etc. Trade up program. They take 100% trade in credit of previously purchased gear toward an upgraded product. This makes moving up in components much more rewarding than other dealers where you take a huge loss whenever you want to upgrade. Trade in program. Next Level HiFi will usually take your old gear as a credit toward new gear, and in my case they provided me with very reasonable value (like what things actually sell for on the used market). Payment program. They offer 0% interest financing for 6-12 months depending on the purchase. Security. When you purchase through Next Leve HiFi, you don't have to worry about being scammed when buying or selling your gear. These guys are financially successful which is what you want--not a broke dealer who scams you (yes, even dealers are sometimes bad). Competency. Tyler, Joshua and Peter Hansen flew to my house to dial in the Borresen C3/Aavik SD-880 & I-880/D3 PowerSwitch & MainZ8, and even though I thought I had done a decent job at speaker placement, their setup expertise brought about a performance gain equivalent to a major component upgrade. When I purchased the equipment, I didn't really appreciate the value of this service until after the fact. Honestly, they should offer their setup services for payment, because it's that valuable. Tyler has been dialing in client systems since 2004 at the rate of ~2/week, and unlike many in this industry, he has excellent ears and listening skills. In particular, if you're looking to integrate subwoofers into your system, first get Next Level HiFi's input on which subs to choose, then get their help to integrate them. They beautifully integrated my REL S510 subs with the Borresen C3 speakers. Value. Even though, as an owner of an AGD system, I would consider most of their products 'expensive', Next Level HiFi knows how to provide the most value per dollar spent within that product range, because they know it so well and do so much business. They can also provide the best deals on equipment--new/demo/used. I recommend calling or emailing them or talking to them at a show and exploring options. Operational professionalism. Next Level HiFi put together a flagship system purchase for me that involved 10 major trade in items (basically my entire old system), including the logistics of shipping the new gear to me and getting the old gear shipped back to them. They're just really good at what they do as a dealer. They'll have your back if anything arrives damaged or imperfect and make it right.

Unfortunately, an Audiophile is always looking for the next best black box to round out their system. Back in March 2024 my system was built around Naim products. I was looking to upgrade the power supply and came across an ad from Next Level Hi-fi located within two hours of my house they also the are a dealer for Naim and Focal which was my system was built around at the time. I jumped in my car and headed South to a picturesque town located in Wayne Illinois a beautiful showroom with so much product. From the moment I walked I was greeted warmly by Tyler and Josh, they made me feel like a valued customer. I made the deal which was reasonably priced and headed back home. During the Summer of 2024 it was time to look at upgrading again. I had been reading all of the favorable reviews around the Audio Group of Denmark and recalled my trip to Next Level Hi-fi and reached out to Tyler and Josh. The pricing they gave me made it impossible to say no too. In fact, they gave me the exact trade in value that I paid for when I bought it from them- Unheard of! There have been many upgrades the rest of 2024. Upgrading into Aavik front end including Streamer, Amplifier, Internet Switch and cabling of course! March 2025, The Focal’ s I was running were beginning to lose their appeal. I was reading that the New Borresen C3s were an amazing speaker. Again, I reached out to Tyler and Josh. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to afford the C3s but don’t let the sticker shock scare you! They informed me that they would not have stock until May but they would be willing to sell the ones they had on there showroom. Again, they made it impossible to say no giving me a great deal on trading the Focals in for the Boressens. Tyler mentioned the travel cases were quite large and he recommended that he would have his movers transport the speakers back home. I was having not having that so I loaded up the Focals in my F-150 for a trip to Next Level Hi-fi. I met Josie for the first time and Josh was also at the store when I arrived. When I realized the size of the Travel cases there was a concern they wound not fit! I told Josh and Josie who were both a great help this trip that they were going home tonight even if I had to stack them up! We worked as a team and got them loaded! The C3s have been the needed addition to my system! My audio journey started as kid listening to music with my dad on Sunday mornings on a Pioneer receiver and a pair of Realistic speakers. Then as a young teenager (14) I was handed down that same Pioneer receiver and bought a pair of Yamaha bookshelf speakers, $80 for the pair, which I paid for from money made cutting lawns. It was from that point that my pursuit to have a dream system one day began, and as every one of us knows all to well, the upgrade fever was born. A little over a year later I sold those Yamaha speaker to a friend for $50. Over a span of 4 years I upgraded the speakers, upgraded the receiver twice, added and upgraded a CD player, and added a subwoofer and graphic equalizer.

College started, life happened, and 12 years ago my itch returned. I went through that same cycle of self directed upgrading.

Last year, maybe it was midlife setting in, I knew it was time for me to take the jump to the next level and achieve a system that I have wanted for decades.

I made a call to Next Level HiFi a little over four months ago, a dealer 1,500 miles away, and had the pleasure of speaking with Tyler and Josh. I felt completely comfortable and an immediate trust with them, they conveyed a true deep sense of passion for what they do. They asked what drove my decisions with my system at the time and asked about what my goals were with an upgrade. They got to know me and what I was looking to achieve, and guided my pursuit, without pressure and with openness.

I purchased a new pair of speakers from them the next day. I reached out a few weeks later about a rack I was interested in and if they carried the line. They said they were not a current dealer, but would reach out to become one; a true testament of commitment to client satisfaction. I took a little more time to make a decision on the electronics, but they were there to support all my questions and go the extra mile.

They made sure to offer to come dial in my new system. I cannot express enough how talented they are with room placement and achieving audio nirvana. I am beyond impressed with how it sounds, and even more impressed with the level of client experience they have showed. They fulfilled my dream system I set out to have since the Pioneer receiver. They truly live up to the name Next Level HiFi!
