Sugarwood Golf Course — Local services in Wayne

This is a great course. Everyone who works there is super friendly, with the exception of the starter. I’m not sure why they continue letting him deal directly with customers? He’s really rude, a smart aleck, and not someone I want to be forced to talk to on my first hole. Plus I’m a beginner who is already nervous, so it makes it a bad experience. Thankfully I didn’t have to deal with him after that and was able to enjoy holes 2-9 (although I was supposed to do holes 10-18 but he adamantly wouldn’t let anyone go to hole 10 even though that’s what I paid for and was told I could do when I first checked out with the friendly guy...

I can’t say enough good things about this course. First off 18 holes with cart $45 . Excellent shape, course layout is challenging from the blues and the back nine has some really beautiful tee shots. Hope to play this course again some day. The tee shot from the blues on 12 Crossing the street that's below, driving to a fairway that's guarded by water on one side with a green that's doglegged behind a tree, like I said the price you pay to play this gem doesn't quite add up to the product you get, very rare in life this happens in the consumer's favor. 7th par 3 is very memorable as well. It’s unfortunate as the course was nice, but the owner single handedly ruined the day. We waited 35 minutes on the par 3 7th hole to tee off, when we suggested making our group of 6 one group (playing three man scrambles) he threatened to call the state highway patrol and told me if I wanted to make my own rules to go buy a golf course. A 5+ hour round is never good, but it would have been manageable had the owner not completely ruined the experience. Will not be going to ever again. Also, greenskeepers watered the green while putting on the finishing hole...never before have...
