Humpback Rock — Local services in Waynesboro

Really nice place, the maps sometimes send you to the first entrance, the parking lot is a little bit ahead, but, the access is really easy, have enough parking spots, going straight to the rock is like 0.8 miles up the hill, kinda easy, but you need to grab some water and o recommend to wear shoes, not flip flops, after around one hour walking if you are slow like us(me and Shelby), you can made the summit of the mountain, the place is beautiful to relax and think about the life, amazing to have some pictures, after you can go back to the parking lot for the same way, or take another trail, but this one i believe have like 4 miles, and i didn’t because was about to get dark, really enjoyed...

The view is five stars. But I had to give it four. To let y'all kno....this hike is not for beginners. It took me around 4 hours to do the hike. Part of it was very rocky. I was concerned. I wonder if anyone ever quit and called an ambulance in the middle of it. I wo.der if anyone ever died. It was extreme. This hike is only for experienced hikers. Downhill u can easily trip on rocks. Huge rocks. Ur feet , legs and back will hurt a lot. I hope this is not ur first hike. I did survive. But I was praying the whole time. If a bear came I would just...

Such a beautiful hiking trail. The humpback rock is around 3miles from the parking spot. Trail runs through the mountainous terrain. There are a lot of trees on the way on the trail. Almost entire trail is shaded. You will see many types of shrubs bushes and creepers. Beware of the Poison Ivy. We had seen one of the poison Ivy bush. The view from top of humpback trail is unreal. Nature can be so very much beautiful. The valley is filled with pine trees. Pine trees 🌲 all over the place. Best time to hike...
