I prefer to get produce here even with the high prices and its great to support a local business. They have great heirloom tomatoes, corn, watermelon, plums, and much more. The fruit breads are great too and local honey. While most produce seems to be local, one thing I have noticed is workers pouring fruit into the green cartons, and the 3 times I saw them doing the pouring I noticed large national brands going into the containers at the stand. This was for the berries - strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. I know you can't do local due to seasonality of product, but it felt just a little deceiving. Just keep it in the clamshell. The guy at the register charged me twice for one item. Then I showed my receipt and mentioned I think you charge me twice… he responded ,”Yes, I did! you want to grab another item.” I said, “No, please provide my refund.” He pressed some random buttons and took my receipt and threw it in the trash, and said you refund should be back to your card.” I checked my bank account after 3 days and still I didn’t get my refund. Very cute market for fresh fruits and vegetables. Homemade jams and jellys, bread, and farm raised meats for sale also. I went in October, and the pumpkin and gourd selection was amazing!!
