I was not going to write a review about this incident until I called the manager to express my frustration with it and did not receive much better treatment. I purchased a gallon of milk last night, which turned out to be spoiled. I was given the option not to take my receipt, which I did not. This morning, I took the gallon of milk (pretty sure Clover Valley Dairy only sells to DG) back to the store with my coupons that I DID receive last night to either get my money back or a new gallon of milk. The lady at the register turns around to, who I now know was the manager, throws her hands up in the air and says, "Another one!". The she proceeds to scour at me and then after a long 30 seconds or so says, "Well you can't have your money back. All you can do is take another gallon of milk!" To which I replied, "That's fair." And I just walked away, got my milk and left. This was really bothering me so I called the manager after a couple hours and she, actually, defended this woman saying, "Well you didn't have your receipt." I explained that it wasn't about the milk but about the way the woman talked to me and treated me and that there was no need for her to act the way she did. The manager didn't even seem to be listening herself and proceeded to say something to the effect of 'have a nice day' and hung up on me while I was still talking. I think I will shop at the gas station across the street for the onesie-twosie things from now on or go to Branford. At least you were nice, Dylan. I've always felt there was too much clutter in the aisles here, anyway, and the store is too...
Read moreThis particular DG was a mess & out of stock on most of the products I usually buy at any DG. There was only 1 cashier & a pretty long line (6-8).
The shelves were a mess like a tornado ran thru & no other associates were seen anywhere on the floor.
They really could use some help to whip the store into shape in a few days because the layout is too cramped & runs runs counterintuitive to the rest of the DG chain.
The only bright spot was the cashier, I don't know her name, unfortunately, but it was around 7pm Saturday Evening, she was professional & move the line quickly while chatting with the customer, she deserves a raise & some help.
There's great potential to make it a better shopping experience & easier on the associates who stock the shelves & bring more $$$ & People into the store....
Read moreWent in on a Sunday. Very slow but store was in a disarray. Melissa was so rude. She had a horrible attitude and did not say thank you. Just threw my receipt in the bag and ignored me. I didn't even know I was through checking out . I said thank you and she said oh really. After the other Cashier told me she was closed then opened and said can I help who's next. Good thing there are no other stores around so people have to go there because given a choice. No one would care for the attitudes, filth and sparse selection if they...
