WELCOME STATION RV PARK IN WELLS, NEVADA IS THE BEST SMALL PARK I HAVE EVER VISITED! I will definitely be coming back here. I will also let my family, friends, and patients who travel know about this place. This is a 5 star oasis! This is a cool and charming place full of mature and shady trees. A picturesque creek and walk through garden borders the RV Park. The garden and creek have benches and seats you can sit in and enjoy the view. They even have some books by the benches so you can have something to read if you like. The word rest and tranquility is a great description of this place. They have a quant office and store for some cute home made items, snacks, ice cream, and some basic necessities like ice and toiletries. There is a mini self walk through museum that shows some history of this RV park and small community. There was a community fire pit for gathering and socializing. Pets are welcome. THIS PLACE IS VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE PRICE TO STAY WAS SO REASONABLE AND INEXPENSIVE. We were so surprised by how inexpensive it was for how lovely it was. It is a diamond in the rough. The owner Steve even has a garage where I believe you can get some help with your auto or RV but you need to find out for sure because we did not need to use that service. I believe the owners Steve and Nancy were and are RVers and know what services RVers and Campers truly need. They even provided a list of local restaurants and auto services and parts around this area if you needed any of those services.
They have a 24/7 LAUNDROMAT. If you need change for the washers and dryers they can help you. They also have SAFE and CLEAN BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS. They have a code to get in. They also have WIFI.
The owners and volunteers were super nice and friendly. The place was clean and lovely. The word RESTFUL AND PEACEFUL easily describes this RV park.
They had a cute "🐞Ladybug Hunt" were you go through the park- the garden, over the little bridges, by the museum, and the office to find 🐞 Ladybug bug colored rocks. At the end, you get a little gift. It was fun.!
We even received some DELICIOUS MUFFINS the next morning with a NOTE thanking us for staying here and hoping we have safe travels. WOW!
WELCOME STATION IS TRUE TO ITS NAME. It was WONDERFULLY WELCOMING! WE FELT MORE LIKE FAMILY than guests. I can go on and on. If you chose to stay here you will love it!...
Read moreWelcome Station RV Park is nestled in a beautifully green oasis, surrounded by trees and blessed with two serene creeks and a lovely garden. It’s a picturesque spot perfect for nature lovers.
The green grass and ample trees make for a beautiful setting. Doggo really enjoyed it here compared to some spots that are all blacktop or gravel or dirt.
We woke up to some muffins at our doorstep. Very thoughtful.
On the downside, the road noise can be a bit much. Did I say a bit much? It's WAY too much. I've had less noise in most truck stops I've stayed at, which is a LOT. And it's NOT the engine noise. It's cars driving on the rumble strips that the DOT grinds into road to warn drivers they're drifting out of their lane.
It seems every 2nd or 3rd car on the highway and every semi-truck is determined to test out those rumble strips on the shoulder, making for an impromptu percussion performance every few minutes. Bring earplugs if you cherish your peace and quiet!
And let’s talk about the mosquitoes. Or rather, let’s not. Despite assurances to the contrary, they do exist here—enough to make outdoor dining a risky endeavor without some serious bug spray.
Overall, Welcome Station RV Park offers a charming, if occasionally noisy, retreat into nature’s embrace. Just come prepared with earplugs and mosquito repellent, and you’ll be all set to enjoy its scenic delights!
Would absolutely stay here again, but will be more...
Read moreI can not say enough great things about this place! It is the gem of the area to say the least. When booking campgrounds for our trip from California to Utah, I did not have great expectations for a stop along the highway. Boy was I stunned when we pulled in. The grounds are gorgeous, clean, and the views are beautiful. Back from our trip and still one of my favorite places we stayed. The staff is friendly & hardworking. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and the next day I saw him keeping up the grounds. As others have mentioned, there were home baked cookies waiting for us the next morning. I mean, it’s the little things that mean just so much! They have a scavenger hunt for kiddos and adults alike. A museum, that was quite charming. And a store, that unfortunately we did not have time to check out. But I imagine it is as quaint as the rest of the grounds. Beautiful gardens & streams with water falls that flank the sides of the park. Cozy spaces with enough privacy. The bathrooms were clean & the showers I’m assuming were just as clean. Did not check out the laundry, but it’s there. Pet friendly with a designated area for dogs to run & place to clean up after them. We will ONLY go to this campground from now on when we travel through. There’s no reason for anyone to go...
