This Park provides nothing to the community year after year. New pool that was supposed to be finished in 2016 will be lucky to be ready in 2017 and its half the size of what was planned, hmmm wonder where the budget went for that. Foot golf is a new addition right in the middle of the golf course...spectacular not. One wonders if the mini golf will be cleaned up because it was a disaster for the last 10 yrs. No upkeep or care to that and the surrounding landscaping. Dont bother with the paddle boats unlees you want to wait for maintenance to come empty the water from them, as they pay an employee to sit and play music as the whole exterior is covered in leaves sticks and trash. Camping could be fantastic if there was something to do in this park. The park has no trails, which it used to have but was told it was too much to keep up with the upkeep...mowing, bahahahaha. Now its all water trucks and road deterioration. Wonder where that money is going? Not to the park or the community thats for sure. Bet if an audit happened there'd be be a few red faces.Save your time and money and go to Grandview Park which is 45 minutes south. Audit! An audit should be happening at this place. Rumor is board members are about to be indicted. Well board member indicted...wonder whos else is. This parks reviews are BS. The park manager has a review on this site...pure advertisement. Plus people talking about stays at cabins 2 months ago yet they cabins became availble 2 weeks ago. Several others are employee reviews. All BS. Go to the park and you will...
Read moreUpdate: My original review: "Not much there. Not very well maintained." I wish to explain. First, the park probably runs on a shoestring budget. It seems like they get funding for a project, but no money to maintain it afterwards. A prime example is the minigolf. It was amazing when it opened years ago. Now the weeds have taken over, the waterfalls are either off or broken. some of the props have fallen apart and it looks terrible. (The original minigolf course was never removed, just left to crumble near the pond.) The last time I was there, they had the old swingsets over the hill, again abandoned when the new playground was built. The boathouse used to house a snackbar, pool tables, and video games. Now, its just storage. They have lots of wooded area, but no hiking trails (or at least nothing marked out). I can't believe anyone gave positive reviews for their RV park. It's basically a gravel parking lot with hookups. I'm sure they do the best with what they have, but if I traveled very far to get here, I'd be terribly...
Read moreThe pavilion was nice. The bathrooms were impressive. I expected less than a portapotty and found actual bathrooms with lights, nice toilets, and full sink, soap, and paper towels. The soap dispensers and paper towels are installed fairly high for a kid. My 6yo struggled to reach them. The only other complaint was the parking bc it's so incredibly uneven. But there was space. The family had a great time at my cousin's party. The pavilion had garbage cans, plenty of seating, and was close to a volleyball net. Some of the kids even ventured to the pool.
And though we didn't get to visit it all, there was SO MUCH to do! A pool, a pond with little paddle boats, a massive playground, putput golf... It looks like you could get lost there for a day or two easily with...
