Galileas Event Venue — Local services in Weslaco

I recently had an event at Galileas Event center and wanted to leave the pros and cons on the overall service and everything in between. [ ] Pros: The places was beautiful & had enough space for games at my baby shower Everything WAS provided(I want to make that clear) [ ] Cons: Service was terrible. -I reserved since August & I MYSELF had to get in contact with them to see if everything was okay( as in, decoration plans) & when I talked to them about the decorations they didn’t remember what my theme was. They take FOREVER to answer back messages and would never call if they needed anything 🤦🏻‍♀️ we talked twice on the phone in the 3 months from me reserving to day of event. Everything was done through text. ( They knew I lived out of state , but if they needed anything to be done in person, my mom and sister were available to go in, which they also knew) Confusion on what is provided & what is not provided.- contract was sent to me, but it did not specify what would be included and what wasn’t included.(ex. Plates to serve food & cutlery) I did ask them & they said they would provide them but I did not get that reply till HOURS later & the day of the event they did NOT have the plates. I asked and the lady in charge still tried to gaslight me into thinking I had to bring them. (They eventually brought them because she said she would provided them.) Waitress said they were hired only to waitress the table and not serve. - This really confused me because I did not know what the difference was , but they still offered to help me serve the food. I provided the drinks and while we were playing games they all just stood in the kitchen without serving drinks until I had to go and call them out to serve water and iced tea because they didn’t go out on their own 🤦🏻‍♀️. The owner of the waitressing company had such a disgusting attitude and face through the event. Was not sent NOT ONE picture of how the decoration was set up.-They kind of just did everything based off of a conversation and inspo picture I had, but the day of the event they never showed me any pictures of how everything turned out. Luckily it was beautiful but was not exactly what I dreamed of. Overall the event center was beautiful, but the service was horrible. Had THE most beautiful baby shower ever at Galilea’s! Sara and her staff worked so closely with my vision and completely customized every aspect of our shower. When we brought out pictures for display, they brought out risers over and over! They customized a mimosa rack decorated with beautiful flowers into a place to put our shower favors. She purchased custom tablecloths for our event and had two backdrops and a welcome sign that were beautiful!
