The best place for quilting cottons & clothing fabrics for many miles around. Hidden on a farm in the depths of the Denver PA countryside. A wide range & large inventory of batiks, oriental cottons, farmhouse patterns, seasonal themes, kitchen & vegetable themes & others. Outstanding prices & values with regular sales. A VERY popular store for people who love to sew. For many, it's a long drive but it's well worth the effort. Many aisle of shelves heavily stocked with bolts of high quality fabrics at affordable prices.

My mother and I were in the US for work, and stayed on to visit friends in Pennsylvania. Being good friends, they know she's an avid quilter, so they suggested we visit Burkholder Fabrics. Although, by UK standards, it was a bit of a trek, it was worth it, and there were customers there from at least three other states! The shop is a treasure trove of fabrics, buttons, notions, books and ideas, with helpful staff and customers on hand for advice 😀

Fabric and more fabric. It is not easy to find and the building g is directly next to an active farm with chickens, sheep, and Black Angus cattle. You can match any hard to find color here. Lots of novelty fabric. Batik. Classic calico. Blenders that are way prettier than the trendy loud prints currently featured at Joanns. Burkholders is worth the trip.

My quilting buddies and I have made Burkholder's one of the quilt shops we ALWAYS visit when we are in Lancaster for the AQS show, or just out for a Saturday road trip (it's about an hour and a half from home.) They are slightly more expensive than the other shops we visit in the area, but their selection is second to none and still far, far cheaper than our "local" quilt shops! If I'm having trouble finding just that "perfect" fabric I can almost always find it at Burkholder's. And, with your quilt guild membership card you always get a discount. Their staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. I've even called up and ordered additional fabric over the phone when I've run out and they really go the extra...

If you enjoy creating and designing with fabric this is the store to shop. The fabric selections are fabulous. I craft and quilt. Had a wonderful time bought some panels, bought some baby book fabric. And bought some quilt fabric. Their notions section is filled with everything a sewer needs. I bought a pair of quilters trimmers (gypsy quilter brand) Quilt rulers in every size and shape. There is batting, pellon, and fiber fill. The store is very clean and well organized. The associates are very knowledgeable and friendly. The trip is well...

Took a trip to Burkholders from out of state to take advantage of their large selection of fabrics and the coupon I received. Their fabrics are very nice but quite expensive so after receiving the coupon I was excited to go to the store. At checkout I began paying for my purchase and as my card was processing I remembered my coupon. They would not honor the coupon saying I have to show it before I pay and they would not redo the transaction so I could get my money. They were not helpful or sympathetic and didn’t care. So disappointed in the attitude...
