Cecil County Dragway — Local services in West Nottingham Township

Took my whole family for Nostalgia Drags. I loved the classic car show and the old-school dragsters were really fun to watch. My daughters LOVED the noise and excitement of the drag racing and learning how bracket racing works. The nitro funny cars were AWESOME. Low 7 seconds and 215mph in the 1/4 mile with the smells and cackling noise from the nitromethane are a bucket-list level experience. The track surface is really well maintained and professionally prepped so, it’s conducive to some top-level competitive drag racing.

There is limited shade so, keep that in mind on a sunny, hot day. I’d like to come back for an evening race under lights. That would be cool.

Unfortunately, the main grandstands were under construction and there was limited seating. I’m not sure why they would hold an event this large with most of their seating unavailable but, it will be really nice once the upgrades are complete.

Restrooms and concessions were available on either side of the track. $2.50 for a water kind of stings but I guess that’s about normal for a venue like this. Burgers, dogs and chicken...

I'm in my 50's and this track reminds me of drag racing the way it used to be. Inexpensive, fun, and a nice down-home feel to it. You'll see a lot of locals especially on Friday night Grudge nights, which also happens to my favorite night as it is a "run watcha-brung" event. The track is usually very well prepped and they do an incredibly fast turn around for fluid spills. The best part is the wait times are incredibly low. I once got in 4 runs in a half and hour when showing up at gate opening on a Friday. DA makes this track one of the fastest if not the fastest on the east coast, so if you are into slips and bragging rights, this is your track. Easy...

We were at in event at this track. Pretty far down Elimination and we were told we had a bye, after we let all the cars pass and we were about to make the pass they disqualified us because they said we took to long in getting to the racing lanes and that we had another racer waiting even though we were told we had a bye. And they didnt want to listen to reason not only as we tried to talk to them and see what happened we were cussed at and talked to very badly. And there's a very racist old man who yelled at us to get out the line and he said we had a bye and then claimed he told...
