I ordered a lamb roast from them for Christmas. When I went to pick up the lamb something was just off about these people. There was confusion and we had to sit in our car and wait for a lamb roast that no one seemed to know where it was. Finally they said they found it and I was to meet them in the office. I did not open the paper and view the lamb which was my first mistake. When I got it home I put it in the fridge and when I went to marinate it pushing slivers of garlic into the meat I could hardly puncture the skin to get the knife into the meat. That was my first second clue something was wrong. I did as much dressing it with garlic olive oil, oregano and rosemary as I could. I have been making lamb for Christmas for years so I know lamb. Well Christmas morning I put the lamb in the oven and took it out of the oven left it sit for a while then tried to use carve it and the electric knife could not even penetrate it. It literally was not edible and I had to throw it out. I paid eighty dollars for that lamb roast and could not be eaten. I called the owners and explained to them what happened and the answer I got was “well I used the roast from the other leg and it was fine……I think they were ready for my call. I would never recommend this company for their meats. I was never offered a credit or discount or anything. Not a way to...
Read moreI had a terrible experience with Tylor Cut in Newville. I ordered 15 chickens around 2 PM and waited over an hour, but by 3 PM my order still wasn’t ready. I had to leave to pick up my kids from school, so I informed the Owner (Tom) that I’d come back the next day. He agreed to store the chickens in the freezer.
When I returned the next day, I found that all the chickens were spoiled. They weren’t even cold, just slightly chilled at the bottom of the bag, and had a bad odor. I showed the staff, but they told me there was nothing they could do. They refused to refund me or to replace the chickens. The way they spoke to me lacked any respect or concern. They just don’t care about customers.
I left without my chickens, without a refund, and without feeling like a valued customer. I would not recommend doing...
Read moreJust like the name, everything is in a messed up situation. Sign is still saying Tylor's custom cut, web is with rocky hill meats. Price? $3.55 per lb for front, but charged $4.95 per lb. I was informed that the price depends on what they spend on the live one when bought. Not sure why it was not stated in the web site. I drove 130 miles to get meat because of the price, but the price was more than the local shop. In our area the price is only $4.75 per lb. There is a poster near the counter for 5% discount for 5 star review in Google. I know I am not getting the discount next time, but I am happy for expressing my true feelings. Check out the price chart in the shop and website. They all match, but the actual price is much more higher than the...
