I have now had three sessions at Wasatch Forge: the introductory lesson making S hooks and a bottle opener, an open forge session, and last night completed part 1 of the Hammer Head and Tongs lesson.
Every time I have gone has been an excellent experience. My first lesson was with Stan who was very patient with my mistakes and took time to make sure I knew what the purpose of each step was. My hammer and tongs part 1 was taught by Matt and I learned more than I could have expected. He gave me learning resources to look up afterwards, and stayed 30 minutes after the lesson (which he booked outside of normal hours already because of a scheduling mishap) just to talk to me about blacksmithing and Wasatch Forge. Can’t speak highly enough about...

They are welcoming to beginners and very knowledgeable about their craft. I appreciate that they take their time in explaining and demonstrating the processes which go into blacksmithing as I am not a quick learner nor naturally gifted in the realm of metal working.
I strongly recommend Wasatch Forge to anyone looking to try their hand or learn more about blacksmithing. I also recommend any product which is forged here. These dudes know their stuff and care...
