Panther State Forest — Local services in West Virginia

My wife ,Ginger our Red Heeler and Myself tent camp and try to go at least once a month. This is probably our favourite place so far. The Superintendent Sam was really helpful and we had a great time talking. He came by the first evening and ask if we needed wood or anything and then came back with a whole stack of Literature about the area. We also promised Angie we would praise her . She checked on us and kept everything clean . She came by late one afternoon and stopped at the Bathroom, and a few minutes she came back and put toilet paper in it. We were just out driving around and decided to stop at the park to have a picnic. The shelter where we ate was super nice. The picnic tables were nice and clean. After the picnic we drove around to find the VIPP stamp. The best part of the visit was bumping into Mr. Parker. He was just full of information about WV State Parks. (and thats just up our ally) Super nice guy. It was a pleasure meeting him today! We will be having more picnics at this park! Also there was a sweet lady mowing grass but I never caught her name. Home! I grew up in this park, it's beautiful. They offer multiple camp sites, large group camping w lodging , full kitchen and a dining hall - event hall. I got married at the grate hall in front of the fire place and it was special. Once summer hits the pool opens and multiple easy access playground parks with tables and grills are available.
