This place is a "Yellowstone Ghetto". This is the worst RV camping park I have ever seen. It reminds me of what the 3rd class cabins on the Titanic must have been like. I had a 17 foot travel trailer and there wasn't 6 inches of extra room with my truck parked next to me to even walk around the trailer. I felt like a sardine in a can. The road getting in here is also extremely narrow with huge potholes of mud. This place looks like a battle zone in Iraq. Since the road getting in is so narrow it makes it extremely difficult to back your trailer or rv into this extremely small space and you have to be PRECISE because you have so little giggle room. On top of that there are all kinds of dangerous obstacles in the space including concrete blocks and the one that nailed me a telephone pole sticking up out of the ground at about 4 feet high. I tried backing up and I even had a spotter but I still heard a "CRUNCH" and looked at the back of my new Rockwood RV and my taillight was smashed and I had about an 8 inch crack in the fiberglass. It will cost $1000 to repair! Why would they put these poles in the space to damage your rig like that! Why I was doing all this the mosquitoes were eating me ALIVE. It was like the jungle in the Amazon. I had ten welts on me before I knew what was happening. You are literally two feet away from your neighboring rv on the sides. You can see in their windows. This place will RUIN your trip to Yellowstone I don't care what anybody says. I don't understand why as big as Yellowstone is it has such crummy little ghetto like camping areas. They need updating! I stayed on Grant Village last year and it was so dirty and muddy and crowded I left a day early. I love Yellowstone but next time I go I am staying in a hotel. I don't care if I have to pay $200 a night at the Old Faithful Lodge I will pay it to get out of the slummy campgrounds. Even the cabins at Mammoth Springs are better than camping there. It is sad too because Yellowstone should be a wonderful place to camp. I left Yellowstone the same day I got there because Fishing Bridge campground was SO bad. I am from Colorado and our park Rocky Mountain National Park has much better campgrounds and if Yellowstone wants to see how an RV campground should be designed they should look at Red Feather Lakes campground in Colorado. The company that runs these campgrounds should be fired and the campgrounds should...
Read moreI stayed at Fishing Bridge RV Park in 2017 just after the eclipse and loved it! I have been wanting to get back ever since. Especially when I heard that they were doing a major overhaul on the park. We had to make reservations a full year in advance, but my wife and I finally made it back this last week. I was really anxious to see the new upgrades. What do I think? Well, in a nutshell, it's like they set out to correct every complaint I've ever seen here on google reviews....... And killed all the charm in the process. Don't get me wrong. The new section is super nice. But they cut down half the forest to do it. There are very few trees and no shade. It is a very nice, uh, RV park. But the concrete pads somehow seem out of place to me in Yellowstone. Thankfully, it is only the upper loop that got upgraded. A thru D loops remain the same. As it is, you have the best of both worlds I guess. If you want a nice, easy, big rig friendly RV park that is a bit sterile, go for E loop. If you want a more camping like experience like me, go for A thru D. If they'll let you choose anyway. The new office, shower, and laundry facility is nice, except that the showers have no shelves for your shampoo, etc.. I love this place and think it's in a great location. I'll go back someday for sure. Some side notes; the price is $30 more a night than in 2017, so you are definitely paying for the upgrade. Also, for you seasoned RVers out there, there are a lot of amateurs that come through here in rental RV's, so don't be surprised if campground etiquette is lacking sometimes. We had people walking through our site and kids playing in it all week. Oh, the staff was...
Read moreFishing Bridge 4/5 I was not impressed, this is one time where you don't get what you pay for. Maybe it's just me but if I pay big bucks for a campsite I expect to get my money's worth and that's just not the case here. I've seen a bunch of different numbers for nightly price but here's what it cost out the door, $138.00 a night. The good- the spot was spacious and had a nice concrete pad, leveling was not a problem. It had water sewer and electric and they all work as designed. The camp store had laundry ($3 wash $2 dry) and showers I didn't use but campers get a punch card with one shower per person per day, otherwise it's almost $6 for a shower, I'm not sure if tent campers get a punch card. A big disappointment was the "greenspace" around the site, absolutely no upkeep, grass was tall and there were a lot of sticks and the ground was unlevel, borderline hazardous, you definitely needed to pay attention to where you stepped. I expect, at any price, that my campsite be free of hazards as much as possible. The big thing here is safety and price gouging. I understand there's a premium associated with tourist traps but they routinely double prices of the regular world. The short version is it's just not worth what you're paying. I was really looking forward to our stay in Yellowstone, it was the keystone to our trip out west. Maybe don't see Bryson Canyon before Yellowstone??? If you must see Yellowstone, Fishing Bridge is not a bad place to stay, it's just not worth the money you have to pay. I don't mind splurging every now and then but I want value for my money and you just won't get that...
