Chippewa Lake Boat Launch — Local services in Westfield Township

I'm only giving 1 star because there's nowhere to park. There's maybe 15 places to park for vehicles without boat trailers. There was only 1 place to pull in and out, but was so congested with 2 lanes of vehicles trying to get to the ramp, we couldn't turn out. While the rangers were very sympathetic, they were still handing out tickets to people who were only trying to enjoy the water because of how they were parked. Great place for skiing or tube not so great for weekend fishing as it can be very busy on the weekends. I would recommend being patient as there is only one boat ramp and it gets congested with people. I have visited the lake a ton and it always seems to have a wait to get in and out. Also I have seen ODNR patrolling the area on several occasions. Side note it offers excellent ice fishing opportunities. Will definitely be fishing hard water...

Good place to kayak just not a lot of parking space unless you have a trailer. Maybe you’ll get lucky, when we arrived there were 2 spots open. I hope they add a bit of parking space soon.
