The Farmers Table Catering and Event Services — Local services in Westfield

The Farmers Table catered my wedding of 30 guests in October of this year. They provided food, glassware, and linens that where not fulfilled or fulfilled in the wrong color. Food was very good, staff was professional while onsite.

Attention to detail from the owner, Jason LeFleur, is lacking though. We had asked for there to be no orchids/edible flowers regarding the food display - which didn’t happen, as the bright pink orchids clashed with our autumnal theme (minor detail). Also minor, was the red paper cocktail napkins that where used - when I in fact paid for linen napkins? Oh and the table linens where the wrong color … Now, I would overlook these minor details - However, I spoke to Jason on the day before my wedding to iron out last minute details - He told me that they would not bring the portable oven that we had originally paid for ($250.00) as he felt as though it wasn’t needed. Awesome! I’d love to save a couple bucks! … Now the funny thing is, we never saw the credit, nor was a check sent to us. EVEN AFTER CORRESPONDING WITH JASON THE OWNER FOR OVER A MONTH NOW. Texts, emails, phone calls … When he decided to respond, it was with an excuse or some other BS.

Now being out $250 which I’d already thought I’d have to pay, ok, sucks - luckily I can still afford the roof over my head and the food in my pantry. - but as someone who works in customer service - this experience has been ridiculous, annoying and grossly unprofessional.

And based on that - I would not recommend this business or...

I wish I could give them 10 stars! In my opinion, based on my experience with them, these people are true PROFESSIONALS and they are in the RIGHT LINE OF BUSINESS! They love what they do and do what they love, and it shows in the great quality of their service. They are a GEM. I'd recommend them to everybody.

FOOD: They catered a small conference for me, for lunch. We had their lasagna and their honey lavender pork, neither of which I could stop eating. Both were tasty, delicate, non-greasy, non-heavy and very flavorful. It was a revelation. EVEN the sides were remarkable, the seasonal vegetables were fresh and cooked just right. The dessert selection was stunning: their mini-pastries did not taste just like sugar, as most pastries often do, but they instead had their own, distinct flavor. WOW.

SERVICE: They were punctual, autonomous, and very considered when setting up. Communication was never, ever an issue. This is even more remarkable considered what a busy period was for them, both professionally and personally. It was inspiring to see how they work.

Exceptional in every way!!

Jason was the consistent, steady hand that I SO needed while planning an event for 75 during COVID. He not only adapted to a change in venue but provided all kinds of additional advice and support for how to pull off a successful event. He took the time to come to both event spaces and assess what was needed, while assuring me every step of the way, that the event was going to be great. And it was!

Jason's whole team was lovely to share the day with, were incredibly responsive to changing needs, and so courteous and kind. They felt like part of the family by the end of the day. And the food was fantastic and plentiful and just what we hoped for.

I love Farmer's Table Catering, will use them again, and highly recommend...
