The Big Screen Store — Local services in Westminster

I went into The Big Screen Store in Westminster, MD hoping to find a 'small screen' TV model to use for a 2x2 video wall setup (at least 40" but less than 50" to fit in the available wall space). Hmmm... I recall the days when 42" was considered a large screen TV! Anyway, it was very refreshing working with Alan who listened to the specific requirements I had for a TV. He showed me a beautiful Samsung 49" TV that was hard for me to turn away from and was perfect for my application. Alan even took time to show a few more things I could do with the Samsung TV that will really expand my video viewing experience.

As an IT professional, I often times work from home and use the TVs as multiple computer monitors (which is way cooler than my setup at the office AND lends itself to greater productivity). For leisure, I use multiple TVs to monitor multiple sports and/or news broadcasts (much like in a sports bar or an airport). Occasionally, (and this is where the slim bezel on the TV is really important), I will use a separately available video processor which allows me to take a single HDMI signal and scale that signal across the four (4) TVs (wall mounted in a 2x2 setup) effectively converting them into a single 96" TV!

Sure, I could have purchased a set of 'cheaper' TVs and saved a little money, BUT I would have had to sacrifice on some of my key requirements (slim bezel, perfectly rectangular cabinet with no logo or IR sensor protrusions preventing a completely snug fit between the TVs, 4K resolution, etc). My husband and I visited The Big Screen Store in Westminster, MD on September 10, 2017, to look at television media consoles. When we first arrived there were several customers receiving assistance by several of the sales associates. We were not in any hurry and was able to move about looking at the consoles. Mr. Alan Hinkle, Sales Associate very courteous and told us some one would be helping us as soon as possible.

We continued to look at the great selection of tv consoles and within minutes he was assisting us with several selections I liked. Mr. Hinkle asked a few questions about my chose of consoles and I explained what size I was looking for. Mr. Hinkle checked out the prices of the two consoles and found they were both on sale. I was so pleased that he took the extra step to recheck to make sure the console I selected was at the sale price he quoted.

I not only purchased the console, I also purchased a Samsung 49" television . Mr. Hinkle was very courteous, had a pleasant personality and made me feel very comfortable about this whole buying process. At no time did he push any product on us, he waited until I had made my decision. I believe he was a little shocked that I decided to buy the television also.

I could not be more pleased with the outstanding customer service we received from Mr. Hinkle. He was not only friendly but he made you feel welcome in his store.

This is our 2nd purchase from this store location and I am so very glad we returned.

My experience at the Big Screen Store was nothing short of FANTASTIC! and it's all do to Chris Watkins the store manager. Chris is one of the most honest men that I had the privilege of doing business with. His knowledge of electronics was not only helpful but phenomenal in making my choice of what entertainment system my wife and I wanted to buy. After choosing the system we wanted, Chris said that he would email me the cost of everything we wanted in our purchase. When I got the email and looked at the numbers I was shocked to see that Chris was able to save us over $500.00. I called Chris and told him that I would be in Saturday to make the deal. That Saturday I went to the store only to find out that Chris had another surprise for me. He told me about a 15% off promotional deal that Samsung had just came out with on their TV's saving us again another $435.00. Needless to say I was in "awl" in regards to how much Chris had just saved my wife in I. Just do the math and you can already see the savings. Chris, my wife and I would like to thank you form the bottom of our hearts for the incredible deal you gave us.
