We have been coming to this course for years and sometimes 2-3 times a week to golf and get drinks. It pains me to say that since its transition to Walnut Creek from Heritage it has really gone down hill, which is sad. The kitchen is nothing short of pathetically slow- although to be fair, the food is pretty good if you're willing to wait 40 minutes for a wrap.

The greens are absolutely atrocious. They are as hard as a rock and wildly inconsistent. The course itself isn't in bad shape although it's not in particularly good shape. Additionally on the weekends there is no Marshal to keep the pace of play and it has gotten truly terrible. We were there on Sunday and it was horribly slow. The group behind us called the clubhouse on the 6th hole to advise of the groups in front of us that had almost 2 holes between them and the group in front of them. They were met with a curt response and felt like they were bothering the shop. It wasn't until hole 15 that someone came out and it was still very slow.

We also encountered a large tractor that needed to mow the native grass down around the tee box on the 3rd hole at 10:45am on a Sunday. This couldn't have waited until Monday?

The staff is generally friendly and I would say that Alex in the pro shop is top notch as well as Megan in the bar/on the cart. We were downright loyal to this course and spent a lot of money here but due to recent changes have realized that there are plenty of other courses in the area that are in significantly better shape with better greens, better pace, better kitchens and just an overall better experience. I truly hope Walnut Creek can fix some of the glaring issues they have as we would love...

On May 2, my wife I hosted our daughter’s wedding at your Walnut Creek Golf Preserve facility. Our selection of Walnut Creek was based on several factors: the location, the facility quality and cost, but the primary reason for making the decision was because of your event manager, Sydni. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and gave us confidence that the wedding would go off without a hitch. She listened to our needs, quieted our concerns and was a very good communicator, and she delivered! Living in Nashville makes planning all the little details challenging. Sydni took control and guided us through the entire process. She made herself available as needed, and also connected us with your executive chef, John, who walked us through what the menu possibilities could be and suggested quantities we would need. The meal was fabulous! Chef John also created a special menu for the children attending. We cannot tell you how pleased we are that we chose Walnut Creek! Everything that was promised, was delivered! Food and quantities were just what our guests needed, and the quality was as good as promised. The staff, from servers to bartenders and everyone else associated with the event were wonderful. Thank you so much for helping to make our daughter’s wedding very memorable. And a very special thank you to Sydni. She was exceptional! We highly recommend Sydni, Chef John, and Big Fork at Walnut Creek! Thank you again! John &...

Four years ago I gave this course 5-stars. However, today, I have to re-rate this course as a 3-star course. I’d like to go 3.5 but that’s not an option.

Everything I mentioned below in the first review is true; the course is tough and fun to play. However, I rate this course low today because of the greens. A buddy and I played this course last night and the greens were in less than ideal conditions. There were so many ball marks on the greens it appeared as if a massive hail storm had come through. On multiple occasions I was repairing ball marks in my line of play. In several cases it appeared as if a golf ball had “come in hot“ to the point where some of the grass had been ripped away. This left more of a bare spot on the green and is difficult to repair.

Still a fun course. Good staff and good views of the foothills.

(First review) Really neat golf course. If you're looking for a tough course with great views...this course needs to be on the list. I was impressed by the layout of the course. Very change challenging as well. The rough is truly rough...I don't think I hit a clean shot out of the rough all day long. The entire course was well mmm maintained and in great condition. And it was neat to see the airplanes take off and land at the airport.

A lot of fun...I'll...
