I made the mistake last year of pulling in this place on our annual cross country adventure to fill my truck with gas, stretch my legs and let to my daughter use the bathroom. After filling the truck with gas I headed to the general store with my child. However, it was a rather hot day outside, so I desided to grab our family dog (6 pound yorkiepoo) out of the truck and off we went across the parking lot. I walked into the front of the store with my child and our puppy in my arms. My intention was to look to quickly for the bathroom and send my child on her way, while I waited with our puppy at the entrance. However, we were not familiar with this store and did not see any obvious "restroom" signs. I turn to the counter to ask the person servicing the desk "where is the restroom". The person behind the counter was immediately and unecessarily confrontational and demanded to know if my dog was a service dog. There is no reason to yell at your customers or treat them with such malaise. We were in the front of the store at the front counter asking for assistance. We were not wondering through the bakery within the depths of the store. We were at the front counter, which is next to the front door. I do hope people who do have registered service animals are not ambushed in this manner by your staff and that this type of hostility is not store policy. Pardon us for not leaving our pet in a hot vehicle on a bright sunny day and pardon us for entering your store to ask your staff for assistance. A very simple nod to restrooms and a "but we can't have dogs in here unless it a service dog" comment would have more than sufficed. No need to yell or be obnoxious. Not to worry. We won't be stopping here ever again. There are far better places on the road that have learned art of how to speak to others, kindly. We have traveled to many states, many places and have never been...

I was coming from Providence Canyon State Park when I was driving by. So I stopped in for a quick visit. The exterior of the building kinda reminded me of a barn. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was pecans on sale walk in front display. There was a lot of baked goods I would like to pickup on the way to Valdosta, GA. I saw something wooden handmade a unusual looking item on the bottom shelf. So I asked for some help from an employee nearby in the aisle nearby. She didn’t even have a clue what it was. We carried over to the three cashiers in one window. Only one spoke and said it was a bee trap. Oh, Okay I see. But my main interest were the pecans. I realized there was four to five different kinds of pecans sold there. The for sale ones at reduced price up at the front entrance. I asked the employee what kind of pecans that are for sale. The employee truthfully didn’t have a clue. I just was not compelled to purchase any thing from this place. Just the local news paper. Truthfully learning opportunities seem to be evident, but haven’t achieved it’s commitments for your newcomers visiting the first time around. Knowledge and first impressions is key to great customer service. My next stop was only 1hr 20min away to Mark’s Melon Patch on Albany Hwy. Dawson GA. 39842. Now, this place was a delight to to visit! They got my business. Very busy too! Next stop...

Called for a question about shipping. Asked how long to get something shipped....her reply was "ma'am, I don't know, it all depends on how many orders are ahead of you". Very unprofessional and unconcerned customer service skills. Most business can tell you if it ships that day or that week, or next week.....I don't know is not a very welcoming answer for a customer asking a direct question. Such a person should not answer the phone until they are trained for the phone. So, I ordered from another business. I gave 3 stars because I have stopped there two times while passing through and store is clean, well stocked. But I won't be ordering from them or stopping in again. There are other places to get pecans. So sad.

Update....I know you have great pecans. I have bought them in the past, while passing through. I have the red shopping bag with Merritt on it, bought 15#'s, and, yes, she should direct call to someone else instead of answering as she did. Thank you for acknowledging my complaint. Unfortunately, I did order from another pecan orchard, but I will stop again if passing through during...

Don’t sell pecan there. 1. He didn’t weigh how much and just estimated the amount. 2. Could not believe that he took 9 pecans for inspection, two were moldy. 3. He didn’t tell you the price/Lb and weight, just wrote you a check. Without asking you agree to sell or not. I drove one way about 40 miles there and brought 45 pounds of pecan which is the largest one and in a good quality. He gave me a check with $24 dollars which means he paid me 32 pounds in weigh and 75 cent per pound. I am surprised that this is the way how he does his business, such a profiteer!

What a gem this place is right out basically in the middle of nowhere. We drive by this place on our way to Alabama..we avoid Atlanta so we come this way and we always stop in here. A really really cool place. If you need gas, a clean restroom or a treat..this place is great. Everyone is always so friendly here. Great prices and a rather large selection of all kinds of things. Of course great pecans. We will definitely be back. Stop in and try this place if you are in the area.
