But I've been seen in ER and has my family And we receive great care except for one Nurse in that department. Her name is Joan -don't know last name. She worked tonight 7/3/17 around 7;45 pm she is so hateful and mean spirited, On several occasions she has been down right disrespectful. But tonight was the worse, when she came into the room she was loud and it startled me and I said your so loud and in her condescending way said we'll excuse me and then she said all you have is a headache and I said no I have a migraine and my BP was extremely high that's why I came in. Then she started pushing meds and I asked what it was because I'm sensitive to many drugs - her responds was it's what dr ordered -ok but what I asked you is what you are giving me - she finally said it, and again said it's only a headache it's not a big deal - I just looked at her and shook my head - then We asked her to push meds slow cuz my condition gets overwhelmed with meds and causes more issues - she looked at me and said I know my job. I'm just dumbfounded by her lack of empathy, respect and caring . I'm wondering why she's a nurse .
Then as I am being discharge she asked if meds helped I said not much. Then she got rude again and my husband finally had enough and said why are being so damn rude- she got hostile and he said your being rude and bitchy to my wife who is pain for no reason. My husband tried to explain what meds in the past have worked on my pain and what hasn't that's when she called my husband a liar and again she got loud and disrespectful -my husband again said you are so rude then She stormed out and made another nurse come in. I know employees there and I've asked about her to make sure it wasn't just us and they say the same thing " she rude and mean to patients and disrespectful to staff. I don't know how she is still there. I hope you will investigate her performance because she is rude and should not be around patients

Read moreMy friend was experiencing major issues with her blood pressure and heart rate (extreme spikes immediately followed by extreme plummets for both measurements). These episodes typically happened after she stood up and moved around. She asked me to take her to the hospital, and upon being seen, they did (1) a urine test; (2) an EKG; (3) took a chest X-ray; (4) drew 5 vials of her blood on an empty stomach (without providing her with any juice/water/snack to recover) from an IV port; and (5) left her on an open IV port after finishing drawing her blood for no reason.
Her test results were inconclusive apart from a UTI diagnosis for which she was prescribed antibiotics. She was also referred to a cardiologist, and upon us requesting a referral to a neurologist, she was denied and told that they could not refer her. HOW?! You can refer us to a cardiologist but not a neurologist?!
Her BP and HR leveled out after she laid on the bed for the amount of time it took for her tests to process, and she decided to stand up to test and make sure the machine was going to say the same thing as her personal heart monitor. Sure enough, immediately upon standing, her BP spiked from 122/91 with a heart rate of 66 to a BP of 144/96 with a heart rate of 88 in less than 30 seconds.
Nobody came to check on her when the monitor started beeping and flashing warnings about her measurements.
She has been trying to get answers regarding her health issues for years, and we thought maybe they could give her said answers after all the tests they did today. Nope. It’s a step in the right direction though. Maybe the cardiologist can grant us a referral when she inevitably can’t give my friend...
Read moreTook my daughter the er cause she fell and her she said her whole arm hurt really bad. She wasn’t able to move her arm. When the er doctor where it hurts the most from a 6 year old she pointed to the elbow. So he ordered X-rays of just the elbow. When we were in getting the elbow only X-rays, she would grab her shoulder in pain when they positioned her elbow. I asked them if they could include the shoulder Incase it was something with the shoulder and they said that is not what the dr ordered. Ok, I understand that, but when they saw her grab her shoulder and I asked about the shoulder they could have the dr at the er and let him know maybe and ask to be on the safe side. I told the dr myself that she has said her whole arms hurts but elbow was worst, but they just did the elbow. So a few days later, we went to her wellness visit to her reg dr and he immediately without X-rays thought it was a fractured humerus bone. So he immediately sent her for X-rays of the whole arm and sure enough it was a fractured humerus. We were visiting in wv and live in pa and my mom recommended that er cause they quick. My thought is they are quick but prob because they r...
