Dollar General — Local services in Westville

To the "Manager Theresa", Your daughter,as she stated numerous times, yelling as she had to stand in line because of a new employee being alone working. She left the long line to walk in the office to look for the other employee, like she owed the place, then returned to the line in her same spot. THEN asked the girls being checked out if they were SPECIAL NEEDS because they were staying upbeat and joking around with the new employee trying to keep him from stressing out. One of the girls being helped indeed has a 13yo non verbal autistic child. Theresa's (store manager) daughter also stated she "works with special needs children" ,as she ATTEMPTED to degrade ppl for laughing and having fun instead of added more stress to this poor kid who is obviously new & nothing was ringing in correctly, he was trying to correct prices as they were advertised an addition half off the already clearanced price. I, for one, will never step foot in Westville Dollar General again. The three girls were also told by Theresa's daughter, to get out and don't EVER come back!! I was unaware that someone, other than a store MANAGER, could trespass customers. Someone needs to get these entitled 🙄 ppl under control. It makes Theresa & Dollar General...

I come to this place often for quick pickup items. If you live in Westville this is pretty much your only option to quickly get anything without having to go to Valpo or Michigan City. The women I have interacted with here are always helpful, the other day there was a gentleman at the counter and a male "manager", they were awful. I asked for an item to be removed and the guy said nothing and left the counter, his manager came back with him except he walked back to the office and out the front door. I had to ask what we were waiting for he said oh the manager needs his keys, the manager just past the counter went to the office and out the door. Sorry but that was terrible, you dont leave a customer at the counter and then pass the customer to go outside. Customer service from those two gentlemen were awful. I hope another store opens in Westville where this isn't the only...

I am sorry but this store was disgusting!!!!!!!!!! There really is no reason for there to be carts and carts of merchandise sitting in almost every isle to put stock out. You couldn't walk down one isle without it being a total mess. I seen one employee at the register and had asked to use the restroom. Was told they were out of order because they were on a temporary pump. Sorry I didn't buy your LIE!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE OF THESE employees need fired. There is absolutely no reason for this store to be looking like it did. I really think that a district manager should make a visit to this store...
