I hired Legacy Sign Group to install three awnings on my building for nearly $18,000. After installation, I noticed the awnings billowing excessively in light wind. When I reported this, the owner Shaun inspected the awnings and said the frames must have gotten bent during shipping. I was concerned, as bent frames should not have been installed. Shaun sent a technician who attempted to “fix” the issue by getting up on a ladder and pounding on the frames with a hammer in an attempt to “straighten” them, which did not fix the problem.
Shaun then sent the frame manufacturer to my business to inspect the awnings. The manufacturer declared the frames weren’t bent but had been installed incorrectly by Shaun’s team. After he adjusted the frames, the billowing issue was resolved. I became concerned that hammering on the frames trying to “straighten” them was unnecessary and may have caused damage to the integrity of the frames. Shaun was unresponsive to my concerns about potential damage the inappropriate hammering may have caused and kept insisting there was no problem with the frames.
When I requested a written extended warranty for the frames, Shaun finally agreed but then produced a warranty that covered the awning fabric but not the frames. After involving my lawyer, I eventually secured an extended warranty for the frames as well. I incurred $895 in legal fees during this process, which I deducted from the final invoice. Shaun threatened to come to my business and remove the awnings from the building unless I paid in full, including the legal fees. In the end, I paid the full amount to avoid further conflict, but I found this experience unprofessional and unfair.
As a business owner, I don’t take writing negative reviews lightly, but I believe it’s important to share...
Read moreOur Condominium Association in Michigan City, IN wanted to replace our old worn out wood sign with a new monument sign that also lit up at night. As President of our HOA I met with many sign companies and received quotes and sign designs. One of the companies was Legacy Sign located in Westville, IN. My contact person was Larry Yurko. We decided to move forward with Legacy Signs, not because off price, but because they seem to provide a full service experience during the whole process. From start to final installation we had a great experience with this company and they provided everything they said they would do. Our sign was delivered and installed a few weeks ago and everyone loves it!!! The new sign looks great and adds value to our owners and property values. I highly recommend...

First of all, I was shopping around for sign companies near the beginning of the pandemic, and Legacy Sign Group was the ONLY company to respond. I didn't have a problem giving them my business.
Second, I'm out of the state most of the time, so Shaun, Jake and Mike took excellent care of me. They were patient and professional, everything was clear and organized, and they made sure we worked together as a team.
Third, the work was done before I expected it and the CHURCH LOVED IT! Thank...
