World class, world's first! Sonshine is made from distilled sunflower seeds creating a mild, slightly sweet vodka-like profile. The original is the best, doesn't burn and has a hint of earthiness. Their Hunt Club spirit was a whiskey style traditional spirit, not made with sunflower. There is a large variety of flavored sonshines, but the original was the best. The location and setting for this distillery is truly first class. The entire grounds were impeccably maintained with stunning bar rooms, an educational center, and sitting areas built from local and reclaimed materials. They also boast the world's largest bar top from a single length of tree, Guinness status pending. Service was friendly and informative. They hold events and festivals on the grounds. What a great place. That bar top made from one continuous piece of hemlock is spectacular. We got their early and they were working so they let us come in and experience the facility. All items are from PA. Very cool for it all to be out sourced from within the state. We had dirty ? something (can't remember the rest of the name) it was very good. It would be an excellent summer or anytime drink. If you are down in the Kane, PA area, you need to make this a must see place. Gift shop local PA sourced. Lots of information to be gleamed from upstairs. We will be making this stop again and also Bells ...
