So I'm not sure what the deal is with this dairy, maybe because we have used Thomas Dairy for so long (wish they never went out of business) and before that, I got it straight off the tap at another dairy farm, but the three times I have purchased milk produced by this dairy, the experience has been horrible! I bought one half gallon from Price Chopper in Rutland, the date said it was best sold by Nov 18th, (I got it on the 5th of Nov) by the 8th it was spoiled. The second time I purchased a half gallon at a Tennybrook Mobil and even my husband said it had a weird taste, yet that one didn't spoil and if you used it in strong roasted coffee you could still taste a weird taste. This last half gallon I bought at Price Chopper in West Rutland, we used it for mashed potatoes for Xmas dinner and it made the mashed potatoes taste like there was cheese in them when there wasn't any cheese cooked in them. I don't know how they pasteurize their milk but there is defiantly something going on here because we never had that problem with any other dairy before for milk. They say third time is the charm, but not with this dairy..... I'm afraid to try any of their other products for fear of loosing pallet to any dairy in our home. I'm sorry Monument Farms Dairy but you have lost out to Cabot for cheese, Chobani for yogurt and Stewarts for Milk. At least these I know have never let us down in a...

Read moreI cannot comment on the dairy products, but it's listed as a top option for a dairy farm tour in Vermont when Googled, and its site says you can ask for a tour anytime. When my family visited however, hoping for a tour, we were told that the particular day was inconvenient for a tour. We were only in Vermont for a day on our vacation and wanted to show our kids some of Vermont's unique sites. So just beware, if you want a tour call ahead and ask, even though its site says you can pop...
