Worst experience ever! I will never step foot into this church ever again. They discriminate against children with disabilities and are racist. My son (who is very high functioning autistic where most wouldn’t even know he was) was denied access to their class and was told he had to be put into a special class with others like him. I explained to them (provided his iep) that he is not in a special ed class at school and learns like everyone else. They refused and said anyone who is autistic, no matter where on the spectrum they lie, have to be in the special ed. Class. I was offered no other options and had to get a refund after weeks of back and forth and my child memorizing countless prayers in the first couple weeks. All a waste. No remorse from them. And when I asked for our communication to be in English, as this is my first language, I was told the program is for Hispanic families that speak Spanish and while they make exceptions for the kids the parents should all know Spanish. While I do understand Spanish and can speak some I’m more comfortable in communicating in my first language. They don’t offer any paperwork/communications/emails in English only Spanish. Not once did we speak about how my children have a strong connection to the lord and want to get closer to God and the church. Super unfortunate but so happy I seen them for who they were early on so my children weren’t exposed to any of that hatred. It’s so sad a church would act this way and not allow children who are exceptionally smart enter the class they deserve to be in but would rather use my sons diagnosis to discriminate against him by not allowing him to learn like his neurotypical peers. I felt so disgusted by the treatment I received from Judith who is the director of the program. No one deserves to be treated this way. I asked that she meet my son so she can see for herself how smart and well behaved he is but she refused. I was made to feel less than and turned away only being offered my money back which I was told would...
Read moreA week before the kidney donation surgery and the trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe was an emotional and memorable experience. My mom initially came here with my dad during the time I was having health problems before her health took a turn.
What an experience, you can feel the ambience of the energy as soon as you pull into their entrance. There’s a huge map 🗺️ displayed on the front along with other signs displayed in their massive parking lot. The walk to the shrine is very calming, you can take the time to appreciate the beautiful landscape of nature.
As soon as I walked up and first laid my eyes upon this beautiful shrine. A cute kid tugged on my arm and said “look how beautiful the water is!” I couldn’t help but feel the tears clouding my eyes. You can feel the love, peace, and tranquility of the Holy Spirit. My heart was completely open with love, joy, and the healing whispers of the wind. Doubts, fears, and anxieties just melt away as you listen with your heart.
The beautiful smell of rose bushes and flowers are displayed all around the shrine. The stadium where they have the mass was gorgeous. You can easily hear the words of God clearly from the speakers while being with nature. It was a sunny beautiful day and the tents helped keep the people cool during mass.
There is cute little gift shop where you can purchase a cross, candles, rosaries, or other cute gifts from the shrine. Beautiful statues standing tall you can feel the beautiful healing energy.
I HIGHLY recommend coming to this beautiful Santuario of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It’s a beautiful experience that you wouldn’t even realize you needed. Also a huge thank you to the staff for all their good...
Read moreVery beautiful!! Loved it was nice enough outside to bring my parents, especially my father who can't walk or stand as much. Loved that they had benches and did the mass outside. Very beautiful Mass. Everything exceeded our expections on the inside. However on the outside very poor respect from security employees. As the mass finished and we were getting in our Uber, like I said before my father can't walk as much and therefore has to use a cane, well security is very impatient and starting yelling at our driver and my father to come on hurry up. I get it they're there for Safety and to direct traffic, but if you see a 69 yr old man struggling to get inside of a car, then how tf are you gunna disrespect him and us. We are at a church. Maybe they should consider training them properly. I did security and in the classes you are supposed to take they show you how to treat people and how to handle certain situations. Especially situations that evolve elderly people. I'm sure none of those young men there took those classes or have security certification, if they did they would've known better than that. We were not the only group of people they disrespected. I think they need to gather those young kids and re-train them and not have them wear security t-shirts, if they have no certification. They can really get in trouble with that if anything major happens and they do not handle it the right way....
