We tried to give these people a second chance after getting service that included high retail prices (as compared to other dealers of the same furniture) but no product knowledge and questions that couldn't be answered. I called and spoke to Gene I believe an owner, he was happy to switch me from uma being our salesperson to a family member being our salesperson. That seems almost suspect. No honor among gentlemen here. I wonder who would get the commission?
We returned to look at a fabrics, were greeted by Gene and he left us to our devices. We decided we wanted a particular set, which now changed our color choice.
Now enters Mary. No she didnt know us. But we told her we just wanted to take a few minutes to look at colors. She persisted, asked if we had a salesperson, again told her yes she was busy but we only wanted to look. There here it is, she Yells "But its our store." I replied great we will leave. And now she is really mad, tries to rip color samples from another store out of my wifes hand. Really? (bet its all on video tape). On the way out she follows right up our buts, i promise her a face book review and she proceeds to tell me to go to hell because I wont buy her way. True story that will never happen and I give her the verbal response she truly deserves. Since then I've been to other mid level furniture stores (no this is good furniture but not high end but that is ok).Service has been better, product knowledge undeniably better and prices better. If you are in the market for this funiture try Georges in Napoleon, Vehs in Gibsonburg and Arhaus in Perrysburg. These are much better places to shop in my humble local guide opinion.
Now these people will try to respond, twist it around and make it sound like they are the greatest people out there. Folks it is what it is. Just bad business. Read moreIf I could give the owner DJ a 0 star I would. I was chair shopping and dealt with a lovely young lady named Mary. I took a sample of fabric home and brought it back to place an order. Even though Mary gave me incorrect information (hey, we all make mistakes), I was willing to get clarification. However DJ had an attitude and was defensive from the onset, from price, delivery date and manufacturer’s warranty. When I questioned him on the difference I was told by Mary, he was extremely rude. I have ordered several thousands of dollars of furniture in the past and have referred many people to Heritage House. I did not have any problems previously, but never dealt with him. I will never go there again and found his behavior and attitude totally unjustified. Maybe he was having a bad day or just needs to retire, either way, my business along with my referrals will be elsewhere.
Edit: Thank you for your response. However if you will look at the date I was in and took a fabric sample home, you will see I was in on Saturday October 10th. I was not there on September 30. I was told it should be in by Christmas if ordered soon. Clearly that was not the only issue and I was not upset, merely questioning. They know the products very well and have the decorating finesse to help you make the right decisions. The sales team is there to assist and encourage you to take your time shopping and deciding. It was fun and easy to shop at this lovely store.
The utmost care was taken with the furniture delivery. The gentleman made sure we had all of our questions answered. They also took the time to demonstrate how to safely attach and detach the heavy sectional pieces. They were so helpful!
