I brought my dog in for a kennel stay 2 times. The first time seemed ok. The second time (picked him up today) my dog was covered in poop on his hind quarters and it was plastered down his back legs. For his food, half of it was left in his bag looking like they only fed him 1 time per day. I know that dogs don't eat when stressed but his first stay there he ate his food appropriately. When I pointed out his soiled condition they recommended I give him a bath when I get home. He also had the worst eye boogers I have ever seen. I sprayed him off with a hose outside the clinic so I could transport him home, and I did give him a bath at home. After he was cared for I then called back to find out what happened to my dog. The first thing I said was, I needed to talk to someone who can explain what happened to my dog during his kennel stay. The receptionist, Brittany, asked what the problem was so I started trying to explain what happened, and she immediately cut me off with a condescending attitude. I was upset and concerned about his care, and was trying to answer her question, but she told me to stop interrupting her when she was interrupting me. I just need to find out what happened to my dog, because his condition arriving to the vets for his stay was completely different then when i picked him up from his two night stay. Was everyone on vacation that walked the dogs? Why was he sitting in his poop? Did they take him out 3 or 4 times a day like they promised? Brittany said nobody is at the clinic who can help me so she will have someone call me back. So far no call back. From this experience I would never recommend this vet for any services. They will treat you poorly for expressing valid concerns, and they don't seem to employ staff that actually care about animals nor...
Read moreMade an appointment here to have my dogs ear hematoma drained, because my normal vet was booked out a month. (Which was stated on the phone call when I made the appointment) Simple procedure, but when I get there the Dr tells me he doesn't do draining because he doesn't believe it. Tells me the other option is surgery and aggressively pushes me to have her blood work done so we can schedule the surgery, as he rips my 75lb dog down off the counter. After I stop them and opt out of the surgery, he leaves the room somewhat disgruntled and then the assistant comes back and says they can drain it for me if I'd still like. Oh and he also diagnosed my dog with an ear infection and charged me $100 for some ear drops. I didn't use them because I honestly didn't believe it. Had her normal vet check her out and he says there's no infection. This place is a money grab. They don't care about our pets, they feed on the love we have for our pets and just want your money in my opinion. Will never return or recommend this...
Read moreWe were extremely disappointed with every Vet we tried in Surprise and the surrounding areas when we moved here from the Midwest. We weren’t used to the chains and the dismissive attitudes and always trying to up sell. My Pops had a friend who knew a guy and so on and that is how we discovered Bar S. We are so thrilled we did- we are comfortable and confident taking my husband’s service dog and our cat to Bar S. When it was time to say goodbye to our Pittie every single staff member was so kind and compassionate- they let us stay with her until we were ready, not when they needed the room back. This is the first cat we’ve ever owned and I’ve had some pretty ridiculous questions, staff is patient with me and they don’t make me feel like an idiot! We’re never rushed, all of our questions are answered, we don’t wait long, we get what we need- not what’s unnecessary and costly. We really appreciate the service we’ve received and the hour drive one way?...
