Red Hawk Golf Course — Local services in Wilber Township

First the good: The Course. The layout is nice…it’s challenging, but not overly so, and the course is in good condition. The beverage cart service was good, frequent and the servers were very friendly. The bad, which ultimately made our group of 8 get frustrated, was the management. To start the day, some of us bought buckets of balls and there was a mix up where a bucket went missing - instead of giving a new bucket (very poor quality range balls) they decided to review monitors to see where the missing bucket went. Really? On the turn after the 9th, in the dining area, the staff was monitoring where each cart was on the course and they said a group a few holes ahead of us was running 90 minutes behind time….if they told the group to speed up, it didn’t work, and nothing changed. Played this course about 2 years ago. Not sure why it's asking me now for a review but here we go. First time playing this course. When I arrived my first thought was that it looks like a well kept and maintained course. I was pleased with it's condition at this time of year. The layout of this course was great. It is challenging for an intermediate player, but not to the point that you feel like your never going to get to the pin. Staff was very friendly. The drink girls who bring your refreshments out on the course were fantastic. Never had to wait long for them to come back around so I could order my next refreshment. Price of the course is about par with the other courses of this level. Definitely would recommend this course for anyone who is in the area or would like to take a scenic road trip to a nice course. I saw some reviews before golfing here that said the course is overpriced. Those reviews are wrong, this course is a good value for how nice it is. Very well kept, unique and just challenging enough. We did play it on a rainy day where we were the only group on the course so I cannot speak to pace of play. The staff was welcoming and even stayed a little late so we could finish our round. We already booked another trip to come back next year and we will be playing this course again on our trip. 10 out of 10...would...
