Order from DWR at your peril - "(Not really) in stock and (not really) ready to ship." Some therapy required. I am a longtime DWR customer and have tried hard over the past year to remain one. Unfortunately, working with this company has progressed to bad comedy. Most recently, a Parallel bed ordered in October 2021 (listed as "in stock and ready to ship") was delivered today after 2 prior no-shows…with pieces missing (including headboard attachment plates and slats) and others of dubious quality and fit that I just spent hours wrestling with. Essentially a bunch of Home Depot wood covered in $2 foam with a bag of fabric and some lug bolts. The delivery crew tried to assemble but couldn't finish, called for support, but no reply from DWR as to whether needed parts could be shipped asap. It is now partially assembled taking up 80% of my daughter’s bedroom, no idea if fix is possible. The shipping company (not DWR) manager is coming tomorrow with some Ikea slats to see if can stopgap fix. Meanwhile, my email box is inundated with sale offers with more deceptive "in stock" verbiage. I am not sure why DWR fails so often and so spectacularly but I feel like Charlie Brown running to kick the proverbial football and ending up on his back over and over. When I do miraculously manage to reach someone from customer service, I am told that their products are special, from Europe and whatnot, and thus I should be grateful that they arrive at some point that they can not determine. Fortunately there are several great companies specializing in high-design products that do not seem to have the same execution issues. DWR clearly needs to invest more in fulfillment/logistics and less in graphic design, marketing...
Read moreMy name is Kenneth and I drive for Hoosier Air transport. I was just being nice to those 2 ladies this morning. I said I'm walking over to Wendy's would you like anything. And I said I'm going to bring y'all back something anyways. And the one lady got in trouble because they thought she ordered from doordash. And she did not. I was just merely being kind and considerate. And to the guy that walked out there to the truck and woke me up this morning. He said did you buy those two ladies food and I go yes and he told me there are not supposed to have food back there he said if you're going to do anything bring candy well if you're not supposed to have food back there why would I want to bring candy. That one lady should not have got in trouble when they called her to HR. That is just in my upbringing when you go to eat you all for it . I think the guy that came out to my truck was kind of a grouch . If he had been at the door I'd offered him something to. Those ladies did not ask me for anything. I took it upon myself. To buy them breakfast this morning because I'm a kind...
Read moreBEWARE WEEKEND LOADS: I was scheduled to load on Sunday, open load time of 9-2pm. I arrived at 9:10am and left at 3:15pm - took them 6 hours to load 180 boxes. There was one other truck there when I arrived in the morning - he left about 45 minutes before me...we were the only two trucks there the entire day. Perhaps the weekend crew needs a little supervision or some other motivation to get a truck loaded in an appropriate amount of time...no excuse for taking 6 hours to...
