Writing this review to address the reviews from early October claiming issues with wait time, lack of transparency, cleanliness, actors, and more. I experienced none of the above during my first-time visit on 10/18.
Once you check in, there is about a 2.5 hour wait. I'd recommend bringing lawn chairs like we did - they have a nice seating area around a fire and very affordable concessions, which was a huge plus. If you bring some friends, it goes by quickly.
You can monitor your position in queue from your phone. We were estimated at 2 hours 30 minutes - we ended up boarding the hayride back to the trail after 2 hours 43 mins. Whatever "glitch" or issue other reviewers were referring to was a non-issue.
The trail itself was very well done, all staff (including actors/actresses) were extremely kind and respectful, and the restroom facilities were very clean. I paid $95 to get into Kings Island's HAUNT a few weeks ago - for $25 a person, I had a much more enjoyable experience here.
To top it all off, I lost my wallet at the event - so I sent an email at 8am on 10/20 asking if they found one. I received a response within 20 minutes confirming they had found it and stored it in a safe. I was able to pick up my wallet before noon the same day.
TLDR: Exceptional experience, excellent staff, and affordable concessions for a good cause. Bring lawn chairs and good company...
Read moreWe took our 5 and 6 year old boys there, for their first haunted experience, this evening. Itâs a great place for kids/teens/beginners. When I say credit needs to be given where credits due, I mean it wholeheartedly. The scarers working tonight were SO GOOD with our boys. We stayed at the very back of the group so we could move at our kids pace. When a scarer seen either boy was terrified they would chat with them, have them fist bump and we would move on. Even the ones with chainsaws. Our boys hated the chainsaws so the scarers would let the boys pull the trigger on it. THANK YOU for making their first experience amazing and thank you for not taking it too far when it came to them. I also appreciate the gentleman who got on the teens for screaming profanities every few minutes. It was greatly appreciated. You all rock and we will forever come back every season. The attractions were...
Read moreThe last time I went to this was 25 years ago when I was a teenager. Last night I brought my 15 year old daughter. We both loved it! The WJAA volunteers have done a great job this year. It is a lot better than when I was a teen. You can tell a lot of time and effort was invested. My daughter said it's the best haunted attraction she has ever been to... better than Kings Island's Halloween Haunt, etc. I recommend purchasing the Express Pass tickets online so you won't have to wait so long and have a better idea when you'll get to go into the woods. Thank you, WJAA Haunted Woods, for helping me relive a favorite part of my childhood and share it with...
