Typically, I don't do reviews, but this place just dropped the ball over and over in some rather significant ways. This was reserved for a small group consisting of 4 adults and 2 small children as part of a "Church Retreat" group.
Initially we were sent 2 codes for the lock with 1 code being "Our code" the other the backup to use if the primary code did not work. The primary didn't work and the "Backup did." If your familiar with how such locks work, then you're aware that the "Backup" can only be 1 of 2 options. It is either the "Master Code" which is the most likely option or the previous tenants usable code because mine didn't property reset. Neither option is desirable.
Upon entering the cabin it was abundantly clear that while the photos online are of the cabin they were taken in such a manner so as to make the size of this cabin appear drastically larger than it is. We were extremely cramped despite 2 of our number being 2 small children. Rooms where small enough maneuvering around beds was awkward. None of the interior doors were full size in order to fit the size of the cabin. However, these could probably be overlooked as the interior itself was nicely made and it was extremely clean.
What can't be overlooked is the presence of a door that we couldn't unlock or lock in the master bedroom. This door had "Vents" above it that you could look through into a room on the other side. This room led directly to yet another door which led to the exterior of the cabin that I could neither lock nor unlock. This setup would allow not only an individual to view the bedroom unhindered if he so chose to do so but complete access to our room at any time. There is 0 reason why any establishment that rents should have a door which leads to an exit that is unlockable by the tenants by at least a chain lock, nor should there be vents arranged in such a manner so that master bedrooms can be viewed from rooms accessible to others besides the tenant themselves.
The other inexcusable oversight for us was the presence of a 5G tower located almost directly on top of the cabin(We arrived late in a rainstorm so they were not initially observed.) Studies vary on what exactly is safe for such towers and opinions differ, but the standard seems to fall at a minimum of 500 ft and there was 0 possibility of such being the case, and if such a rental is going to have such towers it should at the very least be mentioned. Whether or not these towers effected our group is up for debate, we do know that as a whole we all woke up with headaches and chest pain of various degrees which left within an hour or so after leaving the cabin and would remain gone throughout the day. However, these same symptoms would return within a few hours of being in the cabin. It is hard to come to any other conclusion beside something in the cabin itself was affecting the group as a whole as it affected everyone and followed the same pattern for all. A pattern we didn't notice till the night before leaving since none of us really complained about it not wanting to ruin the trip for the others, but they seemed to grow in intensity as time went on and one of our ladies said something about the odd pain, and it was discovered we had all been experiencing the same issue.

In response to Eden assertions, Any misunderstanding was a result of intentional misrepresentation of facts. Furthermore, To assert that locked rooms in a rental building that a renter cannot secure themselves while simultaneously allow viewing of bedrooms and exterior access is beyond absurd, and while it is probably "Code" for a cabin I highly doubt it would be to code for a legitimate "Hotel" establishment. As far as the tower, they are far closer than accepted safety standards would allow and as such there is a very real duty to inform guest. Whether or not such are on land Eden owns I couldn't say, but land ownership has 0 bearing accepted...
Read moreI couldn't be happier about my glamping experience at the Eden Reserve. My friend and I stayed in the Safari-themed glamping tents. You can tell that great effort was made to decorate and design the space and make it comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed electrical appliances such as a microwave, mini fridge, the coffee maker, and AC (praise God). We were pleasantly surprised to find some supplies on hand (plastic silverware, paper plates, coffee, tea, creamer, matches, garbage bags...) that saved us a trip to the store. The campsite also provides free firewood for you!
Thankfully, our site was a short walk to the bathrooms/showers, these were also in great condition: nice hot water and a luxurious shower with great water pressure.
We appreciated the list of restaurants and attractions (they even went the extra mile to curate a few days worth of itineraries for every interest).
Though there was some noise pollution from traffic (the camp is not too far from the highway), as well as the helicopter pad that neighbors the grounds, you could still hear the bugs chirping at night and woke to the birds in the morning.
For those concerned with security: the doors to the glamping sites are locked and only accessible with a code, as are the bathrooms (but these were often left open).
My recommendation to the camp owners would be to utilize the land they have and consider adding trails or a pool/hot tub. We also didn't know where to get water for drinking - consider adding a pump or supplying a Brita filter.
A note on accessibility: The Safari Tents would be rough to traverse for those with wheelchairs or walkers, as the driveway loop is stone. Consider adding a paved path.
All in all, it was a relaxing getaway that was a great location for our planned destinations (Creation Museum, Ark Encounter) and only about 30 minutes from...
Read moreOur stay at The Lodges at Eden Reserve was nothing short of perfect. Located conveniently near the Ark Encounter and just a 35-minute drive from the Creation Museum, this cabin was the ideal spot for my parents and me.
The cabin was incredibly spacious and well-suited for a family or a group of four adults. The beds, all queen-sized, were very comfortable, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. One thing to note is that the pillows were quite full, so if you prefer thinner ones, it may be worth stopping by the nearby Walmart to grab a pillow for just $7.
The two-bedroom cabin itself was modern, clean, and featured beautiful hardwood floors. There were two bathrooms, so I didn't have to share the bathroom with my parents. The kitchen was a highlight—it’s fully stocked and includes a massive refrigerator with the luxury of both cubed and crushed ice! There's also a large kitchen table, making it easy to enjoy meals together. Outdoors, we loved sitting on the deck, and the firepit in the back added a nice touch for relaxing evenings. They supply firewood and a wagon to bring it to your cabin.
The hosts were fantastic—very communicative and accommodating throughout our stay. They also provided all the essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, bedding, dish soap, coffee for two days, filters, sugar, and creamer.
The automatic door locks were a convenient feature, and both the heat and air conditioning worked perfectly. Overall, The Lodges at Eden Reserve exceeded our expectations, offering much more space, comfort, and privacy than a hotel room. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely return for...
