I'm from Hill Country. This is not even close to Austin BBQ. They need to switch over to a post oak with either Hickory, Mesquite or Pecan blend to start talking Austin BBQ. I would even be happy with a red aok with apple.. Both BBQ sauce were too sweet. And the skillet corn bread was not either made from scratch or they used healthy substitutes. Got to stick with the original recipes if you want to call things Texas or Austin. Chicken was dry.. Brisket and Pork was under seasoned and under smoked. Ribs were tender and off the bone but still missing that...

I come from a long line of amateur BBQers who could hold their own in any competition, so I tend to be a little harsh on people. Austin's did not disappoint! They have the best brisket and ribs that I've ever tasted! Perfect combination of flavor infused by the smoke and seasonings. Rounded out with the greens and mac and cheese, and this was one HAPPY GIRL! If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out. And if you have, you know what I'm talking about! Can't wait to get...
