The chocolate and other candies are exquisite! No spicy peanut brittle this time but the walnut brittle is so old school buttery that it will have you wishing you bought 2 bags! So many chocolate choices it is hard to pick just a few! Finally narrowed it down to chocolate and cashew turtles and giant peanut butter cups that melt in your mouth. They have Ukrainian Pysanky Eggs for sale with all proceeds going to Sunflower for Peace available. The proceeds are buying backpacks with medical supplies for people in the Ukraine.

My girlfriend and I stopped in today while visiting from a nearby town and were blown away by this place. Almost everything here is made by hand by happy people who truly love what they do. We talked to who we presume are the owners, and they were kind and friendly people. Taffy, fudge, peanut brittle, chocolate, hard candy - all without pretension or snobbery and honestly, Nelson's is just the kind of place you want to stop by every day to get some delicious treats from nice people. Highest recommendation.

The experience was amazing we used to live in Wilton and were anxious to bring our daughter to share in the magic of the candy canes! Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed in the flavor of the candy canes. After tasting them it makes perfect sense why other flavors were being requested. The mint is super strong, almost overpowering (and I love peppermint). The recipe has clearly changed from the previous owner. His candy canes were buttery and had a subtle mint flavor that I recall he attributed to the use of peppermint oil and just the right amount. These candy canes we bought on Sunday are so minty that the are too strong for our little girl 😢. We were so bummed. I am feeling really glad that we had saved some from precious years in our giant freezer. We compared just to be sure and sure enough the old ones were sweet and buttery with just the right amount of mint! Sad that the recipes have changed but the sea salt caramels and peppermint patties were amazing and worth the...
