Winamac Plaza — Local services in Winamac

You know why I like Sander's? Its a small town store that offers more personal service than a big chain store. If I want something that I don't see on the shelf, they will order it for me if it's available. They will cut open a watermelon if you want to see how ripe it is. Your produce or meat didn't live up to your expectations? They will replace it or refund your money with no hassle. Yes it's a wee bit more expensive than super walmart, but it's convenient, and their personal service plus the fact that you're supporting a business right here in town is a great trade-off...

I don't dislike - it's a very convenient area for our town. But the Hamstra Group who manages the plaza has only paved 1/2 of the parking lot in the last 12 years that I have been here, and they don't seem concerned about the constant use of the stores there and what that traffic does regarding the safety of store patrons. Potholes, etc - and hard wear & tear to the concrete due to the outdoor yard products sold by our Ace Hardware - who we love. That is my major concern. Otherwise grateful to have the stores...

For being a small town grocery, we love this place. They carry nearly everything your big box stores do. I believe they have an exceptional fresh produce section. The only thing I wished they had was a bakery! It's hard to find decent donuts or cakes in the immediate area. All the workers we've encountered have been nice...
