Was at the hospital for 5 hours for chest pain. Started with me being checked in and the lady did a few tests. Once she finished she told me to go to the waiting room despite me telling her my pain was at a 9 as well as being light-headed. Begrudgingly I went to the waiting room and waited for almost an hour with unimaginable chest pain. It wasn’t until I went to the registration desk crying did they send me back to lay in a bed. After that I did not get the rest of my tests for another hour and a half and then had to wait even longer to be told all of my tests came back normal and that they could only speculate what it was. After that they told me to wait to be discharged, only to wait another 30 minutes, still in pain, for the nurses to release me. I was told multiple times if I needed anything to stick my head out and someone would be there to help me. I stood by the entrance to my room, next to the nurses desk in hopes to get someone to help me. I was ignored by nurses talking and laughing, one of the nurses then brought her child in for a fun little chat in the emergency room. They sent me home with antibiotics and pain medicine, and the nurse told me I would get Percocet as a medicine but it was Vicodin. Doctor’s and nurses were maybe in there for a total of 30 minutes the whole 4 hours I would there. I would rather risk driving to Tullahoma’s hospital and not making it then even trying to go back to this hospital. On top of that, I’m gonna have an outrageous bill for some of the worst care I’ve ever had in a medical facility. They don’t treat you like it’s an emergency (despite that being the name) nor it being urgent.
Please don’t sit here and say you pride yourself on your service when you sent me home with no answers.
I will NEVER go back here and if I’m ever in an ambulance again I will demand to go to Tullahoma’s hospital. Nurses don’t even know the medicine and chatting with their friends is more urgent than the needs of...

Read moreWe recently delivered our baby girl at the Winchester Hospital Labor and Delivery Unit, also known as The Child Birth Center. We were there for several days and worked closely with several nurses. Britney and Kelsey were great check out nurses making sure all our questions were answered before we left the hospital. Sarah and Jelaine were very considerate of our night time checks and so gentle with our newborn. We also had the pleasure of working with nurse Jenna, Ashley, and Alison - all great nurses as well. Nurse Kate answered all of our questions upon arrival and made sure we knew our options as we started our Labor and Delivery process. Above all, I can confidently say we had a positive birth experience, but the bulk of the positive experience was due to Nurse Dianna. Nurse Dianna was SO patient in hooking up my monitors has my baby moved throughout labor. She encouraged my movement and walking through labor - something she knew was my goal and made me more comfortable. She would explain what she (or we) was doing, coached me through any decisions, making sure I knew all my options available, and would often leave the room to allow my husband and I to talk freely about our options. She would soon return and respond to whatever decision we made gracefully. She also coached me through the last minutes of labor, how to push properly, and encouraged my husband on how he could help me through labor as well. I can confidently say a lot of my positive experience was due to the handling of Nurse Dianna and I’m so thankful to have had her. Overall, I’m thankful for all the nurses and handling of the staff at the Child...
