SVO is an amazing place with amazing people working there and putting you the patient as their #1 priority at all times. We moved to WV from another state and thought we had the best Ortho and office environment on the planet until we came to SVO. First thing I noticed was how kind they were on the phone when I called to set up the first appointment. They immediately made me feel at home and also made me feel confident that our first visit would be enjoyable. Then they impressed me with their follow up process leading up to the appointment with emails and phone calls to make sure you were reminded of your appointment. Then on the day of the visit the moment we walked into the office I was immediately impressed by how kind and professional the front desk staff was and also how thorough they were with paperwork and instruction. The office was very welcoming with its style, comfy furniture and kid/adult entertainment while you waited. They offered a beverage and even showed us a room specifically for kids who want to play around on the IPad until the appointment was ready. Once they brought us back for the consultation I was so impressed with the size of the room and the process they had in showing you the X-rays and their game plan for helping you. A large TV showed the X-ray and they were able to mark on the X-ray using computerized markets so that you could see up close what your teeth really look like and how they would look like when treatment was completed. The Orthodonist was very professional, respectful and thorough. Always providing clarity and allowing us to ask any questions so we would leave there understanding everything involved. The treatment plan we were given was very simple and understandable. When getting ready to leave they gave us a tour of the entire office which put the icing on the cake for us. We saw the treatment room and how kid friendly it was which really warmed us over.
Ultimately this was just a fantastic first experience and really left us desiring to come back as soon as possible. We visited the Winchester location and they couldn't have picked a better location as it is close to busy traffic areas and easily accessible.
I can't wait for my son to get started on his treatment plan and I know that this will be such a fun and amazing experience. Hopefully my feedback will help others to...
Read moreWe did Invisalign for our child when he was 10 years old at SVO and had a good experience to start. The treatment worked and his teeth looked great. Within months after completing his treatment we were told we needed to move on to phase two for nearly double the cost of what we paid for phase one. Mind you his teeth and bite were in way worse shape for phase one than when we were told he needed phase two, which made the price seem even more absurd. When my wife said "not right now" to the doctor, she then felt pressured to do the treatment because as the doctor said "he really needs it for his bite." When she came home and told me, we looked at his perfect smile and said nope, we're getting a second opinion. Went and got the second opinion this week and as we suspected he does not need a $4,500 treatment. In fact, he needs no treatment. His teeth are nearly perfect and according to the new doctor, the VERY slight imperfections are not worth treating when his face is still growing. He said the bite may resolve itself through puberty and if it does not, he's in great shape right now and its better to make an adjustment after his body has grown a little bit than to jump the gun. This doctor provided the consultation free of charge and said he just couldn't justify charging us right now or putting our son through months of treatment that he doesn't need and said we should get another free consultation from him in two years to see how things are going. Everyone in the SVO office was nice, but the whole vibe is of a luxury product and high end sales. I was especially irritated when my wife called me after the first visit because they were pressuring her to buy the treatment right then or face a much higher price once she left. That's the kind of thing a used car salesman does, that should not be the way a medical service runs its business. I had a gut feeling at that moment they were more interested in our money than what was best for our child and the must have phase two confirmed my suspicion. SVO did nothing wrong as far as the actual service went, but their sales practices are sleazy. I've lost all trust for them and will be taking children to the other office from now on. If you do not want to be taken advantage of when it comes to price, I highly recommend...

Experience with Invisalign Placement:
My son’s experience with the placement of his new Invisalign was informative and smooth. Upon arrival, he was greeted by the friendly staff, who made him feel comfortable and at ease. The staff patiently explained the whole procedure to him, discussing what to expect and answering any questions he had.
As the placement began, the orthodontist & dental assistant worked together seamlessly, demonstrating great skill and care. Braedyn was shown how to properly insert and remove the aligners, with clear instructions on how to maintain them for optimal results.
After the aligners were in place, Braedyn received tips on how to manage any discomfort that might arise, along with advice on when to return for follow-up appointments. Although he did experience some mouth pain afterward, he felt confident knowing he was in capable hands. Overall, the experience was positive, and he left the office feeling hopeful about his journey ahead to an even more...
