I purchased my wedding gown before moving to Virginia and needed it altered and bustled before my wedding. Iām so glad I found The Valley Bride, because they were the perfect place. The owner, Morgan, is friendly and helpful, and has two seamstresses who work out of her shop on alternating Saturdays. Itās usually a struggle to find a bridal shop that will even alter a wedding gown that was not purchased from their store, but The Valley Bride is happy to for a small fee (which is definitely worth it!). I had a convertible wedding dress that was essentially a cocktail dress with a massive ball gown skirt that fastened around the waist. I needed the smaller dress altered at the top and the skirt bustled. I knew going in that bustling the skirt was going to be no easy task because the skirt was so large and the layers of the skirt were different lengths but the seamstress I worked with, Joy, made it seem simple. She was even able to place the bustle underneath several of the top layers of the gown so that you couldnāt even see where the bustle was, which was exactly what Iād hoped for but wasnāt sure anyone would be able to do. Both Morgan and Joy are awesome to work with and are reasonably priced. They also flexible - I wasn't expecting my gown to be finished for several weeks when my fiance accepted a job opportunity in Michigan and we needed to move within just a few weeks. I expected to have to have the finished gown mailed to me, but after speaking with Joy she had it finished for me the very next week. I absolutely recommend them for bridal gown or other formal event shopping as well as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience at the Valley Bride was amazing. This was my third dress appt of the day, so i was little discouraged when arriving. Despite not finding my dress here, I left with more guidance and knowledge than I had anywhere else. Compared to the other shops, Morgan was the only stylist that asked about my wedding day besides dress questions. And the only stylist that physically helped me get dress / taught me which dresses go over my head vs step into. In addition, she knew about the Jewish traditions we were going to have at the ceremony and how this may affect what i wear. My only feedback is that it was slightly difficult to find the shop. Google maps took me behind the building to park, and some of my guests drove into the housing complex next door. However, the owner informed me they were working on improving signage since they had just moved a few weeks ago. I cannot recommend the Valley Bride more for any bride looking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI canāt thank The Valley Bride enough for the incredible care and service they gave one of my brides! Just five days before her wedding, her original dress from a different boutique was completely ruined. As you can imagine, she was devastated. Despite being fully booked, The Valley Bride didnāt hesitate to step in. As soon as they heard what happened, they created a spot just for her, made her feel at ease, and helped her find a dress that ended up being even more stunning than the original.
Their kindness, professionalism, and quick action turned what couldāve been a nightmare into a dream come true. As a wedding planner, Iāve seen a lot, and I can truly say The Valley Bride went above and beyond. Highly recommend them to any bride looking not just for a gown, but for a team that...
