While doing the Maine Yarn Cruise, I decided to rate all the shops on the cruise. This one is a standout! The yarn selection is plentiful, with everything from inexpensive acrylics to higher end camel and alpaca fibers. I was in the market for both ends of the spectrum for different projects and had no difficulty finding things I liked. Their supply is so vast that you’re practically guaranteed to find enough skeins even for that blanket or sweater. They also have a good selection of notions, though I wasn’t in the market for those in this trip. The shop owner and staff are personable and helpful— they actually inspired me to begin Yarn Cruising in years past. Read moreI had been working on a sweater off and on for a few months (my first raglan) and I was really pleased with how it was going until horror of horrors, I dropped some stitches and had no idea how to fix it. It was a mess. I actually cried. Then I remembered my favorite place in the whole world! I brought the sweater in to Rosemary's and she had it fixed up and showed me what she was doing so that I could do it myself in the future.
