Food Lion — Local services in Windsor

March 8,2024 Just needed to update this review again. I know no one cares, but it needs to be said. I work, so I'm usually coming through after 8pm. Not your fault. However, they are generally stocking the store that time of night. Of course aisles are difficult to maneuver. Still not a problem. Tonight while trying to get down coffee aisle, that was blocked, the employee was very rude to me. I was going to park my cart and walk past his mess and get what I needed. He gave me a nasty look, and said can you go already. Not sure what his name is. I know he used to be the maintenance guy. He has reddish orange hair and pale complected. I work near several other non foodlion stores. Since this location apparently thinks me shopping her is an inconvenience I will take my business to pne of them.

I have been shopping this location for over 10 years now. I had given it 5 stars in the past, but felt a need to change it this evening. Stopped by on my way home from work around 8pm. They now have self checkouts, which I am not a fan of because I feel it puts people out of work. This evening when I went all they had open was self checkouts. They had 3 associations at the front desk. Not sure why atleast one couldn't run a register. I have been a front end manager and know how to run a register, but don't want to. Plus, I don't receive a discount for providing my labor. I know they want to push self checkouts, but not sure why. What's in it for me as a customer. Also, what's in it for the cashier that lost their job to a machine. Foodlion says it's a home town store. There for it's community. We'll, I still enjoy being able to talk to the person helping me. If you must have those stupid things, atleast keep 1 real register open for us folks that still like the humans running the...

I'm in a wheelchair with a service dog that pulls me. I have to try to get around isles that have things stacked in the middle and end of isles. Now today I got stuck between a steel pole and an isle they have just added thing's to. I left half of it on the floor. EVERY manager and employee has watched new negotiate that area and not block people trying to get to checkout. This is a violation of handicapped accessible law's. I don't use the cart's because if they are charged they're dirty or leave you stuck with a dead battery. This needs...

I have shopped at Food Lion for many years. It's nice to go in and see the same smiling faces in the store and at the register. There's never a long wait because they have plenty of cashier's on duty. Everyone is so friendly. It appears that they are happy here. Management takes pride in the cleanliness of the store. That's very important to me as a regular customer. They have great prices, sale items and a great inventory of various products. I really enjoy the organic products they have in stock. I do prefer Food Lion over Wally...
