We just purchased a car here a few days ago. Overall, the process was not good, but there were definitely some pros and cons.
Pros: Kia has stepped up it's game and we love our car Sam (finance) was very helpful, kind, and not pushy; He was the best part of our experience and we felt that we could trust him The staff were able to offer us a maximum price through email/text prior to us arriving, allowing us to know that we would be able to get the car within our budget We were able to test drive the car right away when we arrived The actual process was fairly quick (on Kia's end) once we decided to buy They offered us water and coffee while we waited Kathy offered to personally go look through our trade in car to ensure we didn't leave anything behind
Cons: Kathy (sales person) was very pushy and rude at times; We felt very on edge when dealing with her; She told us that this was her night to get home early and that she was hoping to get out soon; She cursed during our visit (unprofessional overall); She was impatient with us as we were determining whether or not to buy; She was nice when we were "cooperative," but became quickly agitated if we seemed like we were asking questions about warranty or fixing things on the car; She told me to tell my husband to "get himself sorted out" when he was attempting to call a family member to discuss pricing for the car, leaving no room for us to have a discussion of if this purchase was an appropriate one for us The sales staff did use the "let me go talk to my manager" phrase several times before responding to questions about pricing Prior to arriving, I had asked if there was anything physically wrong on the car; Neither Kathy nor the other sales reps disclosed to me the two cracks in the windshield, the scratch on the front right, or the fact that the back of the car had been fixed from a large dent (which we found because it was pictured in the online photos but had since been fixed) Kathy seemed unfamiliar with features in the product and was not able to answer all of our questions during the test drive During our test drive, we noted that there was some dirt in the car and it didn't seem well cleaned; We also found a half drank Gatorade and some trash; Upon asking Kathy, she responded that it had been cleaned but that the cleaning team doesn't do a good job and has high turnover rate; She did ask them to redo it, but the dirt was still there after we purchased; We were a little surprised that no one had cleaned out the car prior to test driving (especially since they knew a day in advance that we were coming to test drive that car) During the process, we asked about getting the cracks in the windshield fixed; They were agreeable to fixing them (and did), but it was poorly done and you could see filler smeared around the edges of the cracks following them filling it Half way home we realized that our gas tank was completely empty; They hadn't filled up the gas tank or had the exterior of the car washed; We were shocked...especially since they knew we lived an hour away. Per the dealership, there was only one owner; They printed us a list of the work that had been done on the car (with the names blacked out for privacy); Unfortunately, the name blocking was not sufficient to cover the names and we could tell that there were two different owners
Overall, while I would not buy from a Kia dealership again, I would definitely buy a Kia again. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews for this place as I would not give Peak Kia my business again. I do, however, think Sam was awesome, and I'm grateful that we have his...
Read moreWe purchased out-of-state from Kerry. The ease of ordering our Telluride from him was a breeze. Kerry surprised us when our car was ready in 2.5 months! We decided to make the drive to Colorado for the purchase. The ease of the whole process was wonderful! He managed to answer all 1000 questions I had! His communication and dedication took all the stress away. He was very upfront with all costs and updated us with new incentives for the month. He truly had our best interest at heart which did not go unnoticed! After we signed our papers. We had an unbelievable experience that blew us away! He sat in the car with us and explained every feature of the Telluride, helped us set up UVO, answer all questions, and pointed out some really cool features that we were not aware of. Leaving the lot we felt like we had the VIP treatment!! I highly recommend Kerry as one of the best car dealers in the area. His attention to detail, dedication to customers needs, and consistency puts him in the top notch books for us. Thank you so so much for your help and knowledge. We absolutely love our Telluride and most important are glad we put our trust in Kerry’s hands when it came to our family car.
2021 EXP Nightfall Tow Package Wolf Gray. This was tricky for us in the beginning. All I knew was that I wanted the Telluride. Kerry had put together probably over 50 different scenarios and quotes for me in ordering the perfect trim and package that met our needs! He had an updated list of Tellurides that were being allocated to his location. That were available within weeks. We however came to the realization we wanted to order. Kerry was very informative when it came to all of the ad ons and different features the trim levels each carried. This truest made it a breeze and we were able to order the perfect Trim and packages for our Telluride.. Kerry and Dane worked great together and were quick in responding to all questions I had. We had the lowest apr rates coming from Peak Kia North! Dane had went above and beyond in putting together a warranty package that fit our lifestyle and being budget friendly. He beat our local insurance company when it came to GAP, suggested some key factors in the warranty and beat competitors pricing too! We have a great peace of mind when it comes to our financing/rates and warranty package with the help of...
Read moreMy experience here wasn’t the greatest, and I won’t be stating their names. My first visit I went in for Safety Recall. I went and prior to going I didn’t have these issues I’m going to mention until getting my car back from the dealership that day. As I dropped off my car on 4/4/2024 they performed an inspection including the safety recall. The shutter driver is amazing and so sweet as she took me back to the dealership to pick up my car I noticed as I was leaving the lot, that my tire pressure kept blinking. Then as I got home and noticed my car key wasn’t working. I then called the tech who was taking care of my car from service department letting him know about my issue as I got home from their dealership. He mentioned he would talk to the maintenance team regarding what happened with my key. He then mentioned that the team didn’t do anything with my key and said there was no correlation with both. I had already boughten parts for my car and he said “ I’ll call you in a couple days when the parts come in and then we can see what’s wrong with the key”. I bought a new battery for my key thinking that was the problem but it wasn’t, I had help putting air in my tires thinking that will resolve the blinking light but that didn’t help either. Then a couple of days go by I also noticed my lights from the inside of my car didn’t work. I called the service department again and spoke to the female tech regarding my concerns after leaving their dealership and how I’m getting all these issues after leaving there. She said she will put the communication notes in my account so when I take my car in they will look at things close. I said thank you. Today 4/18 I picked up my car and I mentioned to to her again regarding my key and the 2 other concerns and she said “ were we supposed to work on anything else” I was taken by shock because I mentioned to 2 people there regarding my car and that they will be making sure everything would work fine when I pick it up. It wound be over $300 to replace my key but I still have issues with the tire pressure, lights in the ceiling of my car not turning on, traction control system light being on. I’m very disappointed in my...
