We stopped at Husseyâs General store with a Maryland friend. . . . enjoyed our 60 minute walk back in time searching 3 floors of an amazing array of â fun stuffâ ! I think I did pick up a case of jelly jars ! Hereâs a little background on Husseyâs:

You can grab breakfast or lunch on the go, and find great meats in their coolers! You'll even find a variety of special seasoning blends created by Hussey's and meats available already rubbed with the spices or marinated in them! They also have a really good selection of Carhartt clothing! A huge variety of supplies and items in the sporting goods department.. from guns, to bass fishing lures, to camping gear and gold panning supplies!! And then there's the Bridal department too! Bought my wedding dress there! The staff in the Bridal department was amazing! I had a party of 7 with me.. and what a blast we had.. they took everyone's ideas, help find dresses, and when I just wasn't sure which dress, out came veils and head pieces! If youâre a local, than Husseys is a five star place for all your needs, but I recently had my elderly parents up who wanted to visit because Husseys portrays themselves as a âdestinationâ. If youâre not a local, then donât bother going. We drove 1.5hrs to get there and needed to use the restroom before we started exploring. Our first employee was cranky and told us to go outside in the back by the woods to use a portapotty!! Are you serious?! You have bathrooms inside, but only for employees. Should be for paying customers as well. Their website makes the place look huge, but itâs average. Half the employees were wonderful and the other half seemed like you were bothering them. The general store by my house is far friendlier and more inviting.
