Meteor Crater Rest Area — Local services in Winslow

There is a huge area for parking beyond the normal car and truck areas, and it provides a turnaround as well. I wish I would’ve looked at the aerial photo that someone uploaded before I came in or I would’ve gone to that part first. But, once you get in there, you can’t really go back into the first two areas. However, you can circle the upper parking lot to find a good spot instead of the usual, “Oh well that can’t go back!” Definitely saved it in my Google maps for stopping next time I go through. Oh, and it’s beautiful! The restrooms were clean. There was somebody working there cleaning it while I was there and they have it set up to where they can close one area to clean and still have the other area open for use. Whoever designed this...

Large, fairly clean rest stop. Outside area is beautiful and quite demonstrative of its natural surroundings. Ample restrooms, well stocked, could be a bit cleaner. Plenty of normal vehicle and truck parking. There is an additional, large parking area on the west side that accommodates very large rigs if the usual truck parking is full. Dog area is well supplied with waste bags, however it is evident that many people don't use them. Many picnic benches. Overall, good rest stop off the 40 west, would recommend it if you...

I love this rest stop because the truckers are closer to the freeway blocking all that random drive by noise. Both Cars and Trucks park at an angle so no one is looking side by side awkwardly. During Covid-19 the restrooms are open just make sure you got your own wipes(flushable) everything there is clean regardless. And all benches are sheltered so the sun wont hit you during the day time and divided by walls so you arent sitting with randoms. Just one (actually might have been 2) hour drive from the...
