This grocery store has excellant meats, the meat is custom cut for preparing excellent Mexican dishes or you may request your own custom cuts, butchers are available seven days a week. There are fresh fruits and vegetables and plenty of specialty spices both fresh and dried (most are located in the meats department) that you serve yourself according to your needs. This store is very good for daily shoppers who prefer fresh unfrozen, unpackaged food (I usually get several meats). The bakery is small, has large and small cakes for parties, the juice cakes are my favorite. Pre-ordered cakes can be personalized. There is a restaurant inside and a taco stand outside which has much local custom. Spanish is the primary language but there are plenty of English speaking employees who are glad to help. There is an easy to use ATM that has a reasonable one time fee per transaction. Plaza Mexico also accepts all major credit cards, EBT cards and debit cards, as well as cash U.S. The parking lot is large but needs to repaved. I had a fantastic experience at Plaza Mexico! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they have an amazing selection of spiritual candles. I found exactly what I was looking for and more. Their meat counter is top-notch - I bought some beautifully marbled carne asada that was perfect for grilling, and their produce was so fresh. But the highlight was definitely the enormous chicharrón! It was perfectly crispy and seasoned, and I could tell it was made fresh. The store itself was clean and well-organized, and I loved the lively atmosphere. Compared to other Mexican markets in the area, Plaza Mexico has a wider selection and friendlier service. We went to Plaza Mexico today to get some Barbacoa and Pork! Got a lb of each and you can see what comes with it, everything you need to make street tacos!! Fresh in house made tortillas, fresh limes,onions, cilantro, and sauce!! The Barbacoa is as good or better than any I had while we lived in Texas. We met the manager, (totally cool dude) and he got us a sample of the chicharrones with some pork attached, first time we ever tried it, totally amazing!! The Conchas are so fresh!!
